Just finished watching Cheap Thrills.
What a move. Recommend it. Dark but funny at bits.

Watched Parker a few hours ago with Mrs Burnout.
good film. Statham is another hard man in this but enjoyable. Jennifer Lopez looks good for her age.
I recently re-watched Léon The Professional, a 1994 movie about an assassin who takes in a kid who's family gets killed by corrupt DEA agents.
Re-watched The Social Network, but this time on blu-ray with my surround sound headphones. Awesome movie with an amazing soundtrack. Did a double session with Cloud Atlas which I love. Was looking forward to Jupiter Ascending, but guess I'll have to wait until next year.
Watched Up at the weekend. Beautiful.
My latest film was The Amazing Spider Man 2 in cinema. Was a pretty good film but I felt that they were trying to set up future movies too much.
There's gonna be spoilers in my post!
I liked the ending and hated it at the same time for exactly the same reason. It treated the movie as a comic book movie in the way it ended. With him going at rhyno like that and cutting to the end credits was genius and insane at the same time. I hope they go for some more spidey sequels in the future. There's no way a new reboot can hold up anytime soon. But I can tell you that my favorite moments in the movie were the Denis Leary/Captain Stacy flashes. He had a really powerful presence, considering he didn't say anything if you remove the flashback to his dying scene from the first movie.
Rewatched Fargo last night. Didn't like it the first time I saw it, and I have to say that I didn't think much more of it this time around. Generally a fan of the Coen brothers' stuff too, but just can't see what all the fuss is about in this case.
Non-Stop, nothing wrong with it, but a bit overrated. Took a while to get started and was wrapped up very quickly.
Just finished watching THE PLEDGE (2001) with Jack Nicholson, directed by Sean Penn. An amazing murder mystery / crime thriller. Had me on the edge of my seat. Amazing cast, too.
Not a typical Hollywood film by any means.

One can never stop saying Thank You
Watched The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock.
An enjoyable film, although somehow I was expecting more of an emotional punch, or something - had less impact than I was expecting.
Ultimately, I can say I was glad I watched it - as a based-on-a-true-story movie it gives you something to think about - but I was half expecting the movie to end up as one of my all-time favourites but it didn't make it. I'll keep it on the shelf though.
It's always nice to have an enjoyable, thought-provoking, uplifting, non-offensive movie on the shelf. For that alone, it's worth seeing and having.
No trees were harmed in the creation of this message. However, many electrons were displaced and terribly inconvenienced.
Watched Monuments Men at the weekend. It was OK. A story that should be told, but not necessarily by the actors they chose...
