Finally got around to watching Zodiac, and was thoroughly impressed. Great script and performances and a brilliant authentic period feel.

I watched my first ever christian movie at the weekend. Courageous was a brilliant movie. Quite action packed and some good comedy in it. good message to and a must for any man, christian or otherwise.

I watched Brave at the weekend. It was a bit predictable, but still enjoyable, with a wealth of British voice talent...

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Watched the latest Resident Evil with the Mrs a couple of days ago. That was AWFUL.

Then I watched "Lego Star Wars: The Empire strikes out" with my 6 year old. That is well worth a watch. Its set between Episode 4 and Episode 5, and it's full of little background gags like a burger joint called 'Admiral Snackbar'. Although it's aimed at kids, it's clearly written by someone with lots of love for the original films.

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Watched "The place beyond the pines" last week, very good film, although the trailer is deceptive, you think it tells you what the film is about, but that's only the first 45 mins, and it's 2.5 hours, it looks like another "Drive" but it's not.

Then watched "Silver linings playbook"... also very good, ignoring the typical Hollywood pairing of leading man being >10 years older than the leading female and saccharin soaked ending it's a decent movie with solid performances from Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. Sanity is a matter of perspective

Watched Iron Man 3 yesterday, better than Iron Man 2, on par with Iron Man 1 although there was one part of the film that annoyed me a lot

Not quite up there with in Bruges, but highly enjoyable and worth a watch.

Saw 'Taken 2' last night. Disappointing follow up to a decent action movie. I think the script must have been written in five minutes.

I quite liked that one too.

Iron Man 3 was good - if you're going, there is a bit right at the end of the credits....

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

A Good Day To Die Hard - deffo any day was good to don't watch it, total disaster.
Argo - 6/10, too much hype surrounding this one, I didn't like it that much personally.
Flight - Very good, Denzel stole the show with his performance.
Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters - Surprisingly good!
Jack Reacher - Bit odd but indestructible Tom at his best always wins!
Killing Them Softly - Had two attempts so far, didn't last til the end on both...
Parker - If you like Statham movies then go for it otherwise if you have seen at least on Statham flick you've seen this one already...
The Last Stand - Overall good but Arnie at 65 years of age can't jump!
