if you were to consider getting a new router, I would recommend one of the linksys GL range, with Tomato firmware loaded.

That will give you a much more open system to tweak to your needs, it can also handle your bit torrent downloads if I remember right.

Can you still get the GL's? Your right about the firmware etc, seems to be massive community following. Had a look on Scan and Ebuyer but with no joy... TBH it has me so anoyed at not being able to fix it, I'm almost tempted to buy a cheapo Belkin or something from Staples on my travels tomorrow just to see if it is the Router being stubborn. Allthough I knock Belkin, took me 2minutes to setup uPNP on my brothers Belkin wireless jobbey and it works perfectly.

Ya know, I joined up here a couple of weeks back for a little help on Graphics card selection and so far the tally stands at £70 for a new PSU, £30 for a new Samsung drive, now looks like its gonna be £50 on a new router... and I still havent got my graphics card LMAO!!!

Gave up messing around and ordered me a Linksys WRT54GL today, hoping that'll be here tomorrow and normal service can resume.

DD-WRT or Tomato? People got any prefference for heavy p2p, torrent and gaming use? Or maybe just stick with the standard firmware for starters and see how it goes, dunno tbh.

Used WRT for all the time I had a Linksys, was some great firmware and loved the setup page. Never had probs with gaming, qos and pf or torrenting

ALL THE INTERNET ARE BELONG TO ME!!!

Has arrived, solved every single issue, ports are opening, uPNP is working, pings have dropped and even noticed a speed diffierence in web browsing. Guess you really do get what you pay for.
