I'm yet to have a proper job interview and I'm nearly 30. Last "interview" I had was for Waitrose when I was 16... I'm kind of dreading the day when I don't just get offered jobs and actually have to go find them.

I've had a couple of different interviews. In my last position it was done in 30 mins with a couple of easy questions. It was more of a chat than an interview.
The interview for my current job was over 2 and a half hours. It didn't feel that long but they asked a hell of a lot of questions.
I'm currently applying for a new job in IT, first time I've ever been asked to do pre-interview testing on personality and logic in 14 years.
I read it in the news 2-3 years ago
this isnt the exact news piece i read but similar none the less: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukne...year-year.html
I quit my IT Manager position today! yey. Now I need to find a new job...

Go Jay! I'll continue to pass anything I see that looks likely in your direction - if you spot anything similar in Yorkshire it'd be awesome if you could do the same
It's something that needs to be done if your not finding your current job fulfilling. If you're going to spend all that time at work make sure you're enjoying it. Maybe pick up a cert or 2 in the time off? If you're on jobseekers then some off the Unis will give you the training and test for free.
