    UKOnline tell me:
We will be delivering broadband services to your BT phone line using BT's network, which means we are unable to offer you our lowest broadband prices. Although £9.99 broadband is not available in your area, you can still choose from our great unlimited broadband services below.
All they can offer me is 2mb broadband for £24.99

Freedom2Surf are looking good though, thanks Workshed for suggesting them. I may migrate to them! Does anybody else get broadband with them, if so, what are your opinions?

Just tried to migrate to F2S, as it looked quite positive after reading this post, however just got an email from them and noticed this at the bottom.

    Freedom2Surf Broadband Admin
    Pipex Business Services

    Phone:- +44 (0) 870 242 3758 selecting Option 2
    Fax:- +44 (0) 1296 615914
    e-Mail:- broadbandadmin@freedom2surf.net

    web: www.pipexsolutions.com
    www.nildram.net
    www.freedom2surf.net
Does anyone know if F2S has the same Pipex restrictions as mentioned earlier?

My organisation has used Nildram for 3 years now (after using BT ISDN for 1 year :/ ) and everything from setup to getting decent support has been a breeze. In 3 years I think we've had 2 maybe 3 connection drops that have lasted for a few hours but, apart from that, no complaints.

Bit too expensive for my home connection though and after a year of BT's load of ar$e I've found Eclipse and, so far, I'm enjoying the service! You can also pay monthly.....

Been with Demon for 9 months and very happy, purely because I don't even think about it...it just works. No downtime in 9 months (that I know of) and paying about the average.

Which ISP you choose is a matter of personal preference. I know people who swear by AOL, personally I dont and have switched from them to BT (complete with home hub, Oooooh how posh. lol) Others to consider are Tiscli and Virgin or if you've got cable Telewest and NTL. Personally I wouldn't got with Wanadoo or whatever its called these days because I've heard some bad things about connection problems etc. If you check out this site: http://www.compare-uk-broadband.com/ it might help you decide which to go for, but as I've already said its a matter of personal preference.

As it shows at the bottom of your e-mail Pipex own all of them... thats why i didn't want to risk it going with F2S.

I an with F2S - Freedom 2 Surf - and have been for nearly 4 years, and I am a very happy bunny - but I am probably rather easy to please on the broadband front.
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.

yeah it is a problem with student households these days - everyone is a mega leecher and torrenting chews apart the usage allowance with 4 going at it 24/7
