Ah, ok.I have the same motherboard and a GTX and all the SATA sockets are usable. You just have to use an angled cable on one of them.
The 8800 Ultra would be more of a problem.
Is the ultra actually longer than the GTX??

It's the EVGA 8800 GTS ACS (aka, fat ass) you need to watch in a P5K Deluxe/Premium. It obscures PCI slots, SATA 1&2, not to mention all visible sunlight.
Don't get me wrong, if I was buying a Q6600 now, I'd still want to get a G0, but I'm not sure the overclocking headroom is any higher than a B3.
Mine is doing 3.42GHz comfortably, temps stay under 60°C, even when the room temp is about 25°C (that's watercooled).
Cheers,
Stephen
Im getting my head kerfuffled in this P5K Deluxe/Premium Saga. The Premium is the new 'Black Pearl Edition'. From the forums and reviews I have read so far the Premium is 99% of a Deluxe but with small yet fruitful improvements:
It comes with 2 fans to cool the mosfets as if
Asus have removed the mosfets which were attached to the back of the board which means the Premium should run cooler. The Premium uses an 8 layer PCB, Nikos Mosfets, and a TRIO 1R1 Inductor, these features are exclusive to the Premium
Different LAN chips are used on this board, the Marvell chip runs on the PCI-E bus, whereas the Realtek one runs on the aged PCI bus
Added a mosfet on the ddr2 channel. In the p5k deluxe there's only 1 mosfet for 4 channels with some problems of stability. With premium there're 2 mosfet. Asus declared that with this solution the new premium can work stable with ram over 1400 mhz
Quoted from VR-ZoneASUS claimed lower operating temperatures, so we took a QX6700 lying around and clocked it up to 3.33GHz for a quick test by loading all the cores at 100%. After running for 15 minutes, the PWM area of the P5K Deluxe was not at all safe to touch. When we unplugged our components, the loose plastic sheet we placed underneath actually stuck to the board. Trying the same test on the P5K Premium returned better results. The PWM area was still hot, but it is noticeable that it is cooler than the P5K Deluxe.
Users online have shared their findings regarding the initial P5K Premium. The Premium was able to hold a quad core CPU at a higher clock than the Deluxe, while maintaining lower motherboard temperatures.
There was no noticeable difference in northbridge and southbridge temperatures for both boards.
So its kind of interesting as I'm getting a new motherboard in hopefully under a week.
Anybody heard some shock stories or something good about this board as I want to make my purchase in the next week or so

So nobody heard much about the P5K Premium, or nobody has one?
I've heard it doesnt play nice with vista, but I'm not sure how much truth there is to that, or if it was luser error
Would I be mad in considering this (http://www.quietpc.com/gb-en-gbp/pro...g/reserator-xt) for a WC setup?
a recomendation for display try the HP W2207 LCD with glossy display really sweet at 22"
Lots of reports that it doesn't like installing Vista, and also that there are problems with RAID.
About the problems with the Asus P5K Premium, is it Bios related or hardware? I have read a few posts on here and other forums but it doesn't make it clear.
Anyone think that this (http://www.quietpc.com/gb-en-gbp/pro...g/reserator-xt) for a watercooling setup is madness. I really like the look of it and the one Benchmark I have seen had it running a quad at 3.4 and 56C, and that was with the fan at lowest. Fan at highest it was 52C I think. Its just the price that seems madness

Ok so I've decided to take the plunge(literally) and go watercooling. Due to work and other commitments I don't really have the time to build up a case a modify it, plus I would have to buy Dremels and all that.
So being lazy, I've found a ready made WC setup that I think:
A) looks nice
B) has potential
C) doesn't actually cost that much if you consider the price of the case as standard
So if the WC'ing geniuses of the forum could comment and say if they think it has a decent setup. All I am looking for is WC'ing the CPU(Q6600 GO), NB and Mosfets... so no GPU WC'ing. Hopefully that would all fit on 1 loop and still be OK?
Here is the link for the description and price (http://store.over-clock.com/watercooled_cases.html) and these are some pics of the innards (http://www.over-clock.com/ivb/index....7&#entry133147)
So what you think??
I think Marci over there does an excellent job, he did my Lian Li G70 for me. You don't have to go with that case, he can do pretty much anyone they sell. Have a look at the kit builder, you can choose different cases there if you'd prefer a different one.
Cheers,
Stephen
