...it's real...
definitely get some benchmarks up
Oh and pictures too
For the price couldn't you get 4 overclocked q6600 based systems? wouldn't that be better for folding?
For about £1200 you could make a lovely 16 core Beowulf cluster for folding, if that's your poison

Sounds like a beast alright, hope it gives you many years of faithful service dude, oh and bring on the benchies... <grin>
If you did buy it from Beast then it will be quality through and through, those guys are some of the most dedicated PC builders I've seen in a long time.
Hi all
I can actually confirm that this system has been ordered from us just to help put an end to all the speculation.
Whilst it was sad to see a great company like Vadim go into liquidation, we are here for the long haul and can build systems to the same level of quality.
Our only problem at the moment is the website which is currently being rebuilt. Some of you may have noticed that the functionality on the custom builder isn't great but at the same time, we prefer to chat to potential customers over the phone to make sure they get what they need/want.
Cheers

Hi, always good to get the input of retailers on Hexus. Can I ask why you allowed this customer to purchase 8gb of RAM alongside Windows XP 32bit? Retailers, especially top of the line ones like yourself should be adding value by giving customers advice and not allowing them to waste money.
Hi Kalniel
A fair question. The honest answer is that our customer has not decided upon which OS to use and even if they want a dual OS setup. As it's only in the preliminary build stage, such points will be cleared up as we correspond with our customer.
Of course, if you have ever been to our forums you will note that we give the best advice we can in all situations. We will be doing the same in this one.
Hope this helps answer your question.
Cheers

Wouldn't it have been better to get a 790i board with a single quad and tri-sli gtx 280s? I take it this is for gaming?
as far as I can tell it's not a system for gaming, it's a machine to destroy the world.
If you get components like this then it has to look good, it simply has to; what case are you getting with it? Are you having it modded in any way?
We've had a hell of alot of problems and returns due to nVidia chipset based Motherboards, especially the 680i and although many still ask for the 790i, it's absolute rubbish. People may disagree but the simple fact is that we work with these things every day and the failure rate of the nVidia based boards compared to Intel boards is ridiculous.
We've been having stability issues with 790i even at stock settings since it was released and after 6 BIOS releases the problems are still apparent.
You only need to check out the amount of posts on forums such as the EVGA one to see the amount of technical issues surrounding them to have an idea.
My advice to anyone seeking a dual card setup is go for Intel and ATi Crossfire. There are probably alot of nVidia fans on here and whilst we love the nVidia gfx cards, we feel that the mobo's leave much to be desired.
I might also add that I have no doubt that some people out there have working nVidia dual card setups and they've had no problems. We've also had similar reports from some of our customers but in general, more have failed than not.
Hope this helps.

/looks back at post and wonders if he just opened a large can of worms!
MSIC (15-07-2008)
You havn't opened a can of worms imo. The Nvidia boards really annoy me, I have the 680i and although stable enough in the setup I have I don't dare put a q6600 just in case lol
The ATi (690G) board is far better and cost me £35 lol Intel boards have been pretty much flawless too
While I don't agree with building PC's like that.. SSD's etc.. It must have been fun
