think windows update has something to do with it, bit suspect this happens to all their products, just before they release a new os.

So MS purposefully slow down your PC via Windows Update just so you buy their latest OS?

To be fair, it is a real word

Complimenting means saying something nice about somebody - so you compliment someone on their English
Complementing means "goes with" - so chips complement fish

Anyway, this is getting a bit deep... the irony of it, talking about English skills, just made me laugh
