    Re: Hexus HandBrake charts - who has the greatest multi-threaded POWER!!??

    Stupid intel took away my 3rd place :

    Anyway the rest of my results :

    Splice -127 seconds, average fps = 26.16749, dont have log coz i accidentally closed it

    Tron = 96 seconds, average fps = 38.071995

    log= http://pastebin.com/6xYRvPqN

    I will now overclock to 4ghz and see what happens

    EDIT: Done on a mechanical drive seagate 500gb 7200rpm. nothing special.

    I did, recently sold to SHare. I won the X6 and C4F @ the Aria forum meet up by guessing the overclock on said CPU & MOBO

    Added Tron results to my post. How do i go about getting the Splice trailer as it just takes me to a stream when i click the link?

    You got it for free!! The biggest computer related freebie I have got in the last few years is an IDE DVD rewriter!!

    Nice if there were more freebies for forum members over here though!!

    Maybe,I need to spam the Aria forums more??

    BTW,what was the overclock??

    Re: Hexus HandBrake charts - who has the greatest multi-threaded POWER!!??

    Small improvements at 4ghz , I guess intel wins something I didnt expect
    Because im a idiot i closed the activity window when i was converting bunny. So i only have bunny logs.

    Results:
    Tron- 89 seconds, 41.864586 fps
    Splice -115 secs, 28.741198 fps
    Bunny 224 secs, 41.728760 fps

    I think I may have convinced myself to buy a ssd sooner rather than later we can see the difference a ssd makes when we compare aidanjt's results with alsenior.

    Re: Hexus HandBrake charts - who has the greatest multi-threaded POWER!!??

    Just out of curiosity I tried turning off the X11 server and just running handbrake from the TTY, it actually took a few seconds longer to transcode, my guess is that handbrake's ineffective console writing to the unaccelerated framebuffer is slowing things down.
