Re: Hexus HandBrake charts - who has the greatest multi-threaded POWER!!??

For the hell of it I am running this test on my Macbook, HTPC and my other laptop right now, should be an interesting mix of results for you CAT, was going to run it on my other macs but they are all ppc based and not only would it be slow, but I can't run the same version of HB thus invalidating them.

Laptop results are in, took a long time though not bad for something with a 17" screen that just sits in my bedroom and streams video from my network lol, god knows I couldn't consider it portable with it's horrid battery life and back breaking weight.

As a side note, it might be worth taking account of the hard drives used (ssd etc) as that might have an impact on the scores. You are talking about quite high I/o's for desktop machines with video encoding.

The Macbook is a T7200, and the Athlon is an X3 450 displayed in windows as a Phenom B55 or something similar but as I said, with no L3 it is the same as a X4 650.

I think you're looking at the wrong line in that log:

[11:04:27] work: average encoding speed for job is 34.745834 fps

Have you still got the logs for your other transcodes? Also rather than massive posts can people please use pastebin or similar for logfiles.
