In the end I just got a canon ip2702 from tesco. Doesnt have photocopier or scanner, just prints. Simples for £25.
So I'll see what its like with the ink. The one thing I have noticed though is that the compatables inks cost the same as the canon genuine ink :S
So i'll probably just stick with the canon ink if thats the case.
And sorry josh, no idea what a CISS printer is :s

ciss is when you buy and mackle a continuous ink sytem into the printer. instant loss of warranty (new epsons now mark it in the firmware flash chip when any none genuine inks used so i can void a warranty while on site with smart arses that think they can stick in some empty genuine inks when i show up)
