The most recent changes to the targeting icons are like the ones from years ago! I think they take up too much space on the screen.

I thought that Eve was excellent. A truely origional game, with nothing else even close to it.
The problem is that starting now, people are so far behind, that you spend all your time saving up for a decent ship, and the rest of the time horribly dying/being ganked by people that are going to be better in the same class, thanks to having far far better tech research.
that was a shame.
Amazingly I was in one, and yes we did go into enemy territory, but the issues where, then there, it was far too easy to pick off my ships as I was out aimed, out gunned, out sped, out turned, out manovered and out powered by pretty much anyone. Even in a worse ship.
I suppose a larger corp could certainly be good, but at the time I struggled to find info on them, so just filtered out. Would be nice to take another look one day, though it's the age old argument between rolling a new character to start again, or continue where I left off- dead in space having lost my battleship!
If you were a new player, your corp really should've explained to you that being in a bigger ship at the start doesn't mean you will be better like in most other games. A new player would be better off specialising in Frigate or Cruiser warfare, not trying to get into a Battleship. My character has about 35mil SP (from what I remember, I haven't played for a few months), and he couldn't fly Battleships at all!
I'm not a fan of BS at all for PvP BC are better for me. I have about 60 mill SP in one character and 47 mill in the other.

I loved the tornado and cyclone battlecruisers, yes. Also the tempest in PVE and later the maelstrom and the expensive minmatar BS variant. Still have one I think.
Not played for ages, best fun you can have though (even early) is to get good at tackling, perhaps t2 frigates, and get in a decent corp who roam around 0.0. Sure, you'll loose some ships, but it's great fun and great training. Get a decent mic or headset too.
been a couple years though!

Be Careful on the Internet! I ran and tackled a drive by mining attack today. It's not designed to do anything than provide fake texts (say!)
I was just using the BS to do missions, since it was more cost effective for my time restraints to make enough cash to purchase the ship losses from corp pvp (which was frigates/destroyers. Even kitting a cruiser was too expensive on a regular occasion. I did try and stick with what I could afford, but I seemed to spend all my time just breaking even. Then again, maybe I picked the wrong class, or just sucked at pvp.
I know that bigger was not better. I never took anything bigger than a cruiser into PVP, but still the amount of times you get ganked, loosing ships/implants/clones was getting stupid, especially when you had limited option where to do your missions.
I decided to challenge my old feelings towards this game by looking at what has changed since I was last there, and boy are their changes for the beginner player.
Learning skills (gone), frigate skills (reduced requirements), ORE Frigate (Great for making early game cash), new destroyers. All these things go to make the start experiance far more enjoyable and actually make things quite balanced. All in all, I'm glad that I'm running this Trial and will consider re subscribing.
The game used to a nightmare for new players, I started before warp to 0! Its much much easier to get into now and you can catchup pretty quickly due to the skill tree changes.
I am now at the stage where I am not training towards anything, just maxing out my current skills. Most of my skill tree for the next 6 months is Level 5 only training.

Can anyone recommend a good PVP corp in null sec? I'm returning to eve last time I played was in 2008! I'm an EW/HAC pilot. Although feel like a n0ob again.
