I'm at level 5 as well, done loads of PQ's this time round, won a few good items, just can't get a higher enough roll to list higher than 4th

Oh and first crash. This time it didn't just set my monitor into power save mode. It just froze, have sound but that its. Had to do a hard shutdown which has upset my hdd's so currently being verified. Getting annoyed of this crap now!

Admittedly I've not played it a great deal yet, I was busy nearly all last week, never tried the open beta until Saturday, but I've had no problems with it yet. Is the crashing/lock ups a known problem?

It is something that is happening to a small % of players, so i'm not alone. I've just upped my ram voltage to see if that has any effect at all. fingers crossed.

Yea, it has a monthly sub charge.

From launch, subscriptions can be purchased online and within the game:
    - 1 month for 12.99€ (£10.31)
    - 3 months for 35.97€ (£28.55)
    - 6 months for 65.94€ (£52.34)

Alternatively, pre-paid Game Card packs for a 60-day subscription will be available through participating retailers for 29.99€ (£23.81).

The regular edition of the game will be priced at 49.99 € (£39.69) RRP with a 30-day subscription included.

That's taken from the WAR site. Game are doing it for £26.99.
Prices were dropped for UK, some people seem to have missed it...

We are pleased to confirm that the subscription prices in the UK have been lowered significantly. This effectively place WAR in a highly competitive position on the UK MMO market.

Our new subscription prices are as follow:
    £8.99 per month
    £25.17 for 3 months
    £46.14 for 6 months

    Our previous prices were:
    £10.31 per month
    £28.55 for three months
    £52.34 for six months

    Cheers,
    -Magnus
    Same price as WoW

Also... Fortuna made it to level 9 last night. Things slow down from here onwards and it'stime for the REAL RvR lakes in chapter 3/4 now.

They missed it because it was never posted on the War-Europe pos webpage. Its still not on the War-Europe site.

Going to try playing tonight for one last time. If it crashes my system i will uninstall the game and cancel the pre-order i have. Not willing to pay for a game with little or no support from Mythic/GOA.

Have you logged a bug regards the CTD? Mark Jacobs has posted elsewhere stating that they're aware of the issues and working on them (seemingly 4.1.1 reduced the number of them significantly).

I do feelyour pain though - it keeps crashing on my missus' PC which is well above the minimum specs, though it's only crashing the game and not the OS.

Going to log the fault tonight. I do hope that they are looking into it, from what i've played i've really enjoyed it so far, some really good ideas. But its kinda scary when your 2 month old PC crashes and not just CTD, it just locks up with no possible way to recover. So hard shut down is the only way out of it. I do have to say that i got a good 2 hours or so gameplay before the crash, much more than what i had before the patch.

Going to uninstall game, GFX & sound tonight and reload them to see if that makes any difference. Will also do some hardware testing and make sure everything is ok. Nothing to lose tbh. As for cancelling my pre-order, just remembered that i've got the CE version, so thats not going to happen

Sorry to hear you having problems

Seems to run very well on my lappy, a Dell 1710, not tried it on my desktop yet.

Aye, it's a pain the arse

I don't think they have fully opened the servers yet, as in allowing on the full capacity. At least that's the rumor and that's what I'm hoping.

They aren't doing a good job at convincing me to play this game at the moment. Just managed 1 to 5 in 40 mins tho

Re: Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning Gameplay Thread.

    Enough is enough.

After careful consideration i have cancelled my pre-order. There are so many things wrong with this game that it still feels like a beta.

Crashing. Random CTD's, crashing OS (one of my issues)
Poor performance. I'm running on a new well specced system, i shouldn't be having any stuttering, but i have.
Eula. Every time you log in you have to scroll down, tick the box then accept the terms. Twice. Thats just stupid in this day and age.
Queues. OMG 1 hour to log onto my server.
GOA. Never before have i used a website so piss poor. No up to date information, even the monthly fees haven't been corrected. If you want any news you have to go to a site like Warhammer Alliance.
No Official forums. This is such a bad move. So many MMO's have their own forums, makes support easy, the CM's job easy as well. Just have a look at what happened to IanC on the WHA.

Even tonight i found another bug when trying to use the launcher, Vista comes up with a message saying a program is not compatible with certain visual elements of windows.

I really wanted to see this game succeed, i've followed it for some time, but if it can't get the basic's right, then its going to fail.

    Bye Bye Warhammer.

  15. Received thanks from:

Re: Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning Gameplay Thread.

I have had very few of those problems. Only 1 crash. Also there are no queues if you play order- because we seem to be grossly outnumbered. Its no fun going out into contested territory and being hunted by packs of destro and not seeing another order bod ever. So if you want to play order come to Karag Orrud and give Kargaz a shout!

Beanbandit- you need to give it more time! Perhaps a week or two before you give up. However one less destro player can only be a good thing. Probably be replaced by 10 more though. Oh well.

Re: Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning Gameplay Thread.

Beanbandit - I think you were living in a dreamworld if you thought preordering a MMPORG would get you a stable game with no bugs. The issues you list a fairly minor and easily resolved.

My view is there are going to be problems its just about working through them, just look at WOW it had loads of issues on launch. Even a year later when I went back to it there were still issues.

From what I can see the Game has a really good base on which to build my highlights being:

    Public Quests
Good Range of Characters and Roles
Good RVR maps, I love the exploding Altar one

There is a patch this morning I am sure some of the big issues will be rolled into this.
