I can do indeed my little mage can do, the only problem which ive stated many times before and im sure everyone knows by now i hate instances... lol need the righteous orbs (2x IIRC) and 4x large brilliant shards (bout 7 or 8g from AH) and i can do it for free if u can get me them ^ ^

Second problem, I do not have an enchanted arcanite rod whichs means I cannot actually use the ability as of yet hehe, I have several members in the guild helping me out be rocking horse dropings comes in to mind when talkin about arcanite crystals >.> hehe

what type of rogue class you go for depends on what type of game play you are looking at

I found that Combat spec'd rogues are very good for PvE and PvP all around,

Pros - Maintained DPS and less damage taken due to talents in dodge and parry +%
Cons - No burst damage, if you are looking to kills someone fast it doesnt happen unless you pull off constant crits, I.E a mage.. if you stun then they just blink and kick ur ass if you have no cooldowns ^ ^

Assasination spec is amazing for pvp and i mean amazing I personally would only spend 21 points in up to coldblood though as i dont see any point in +10 energy unless you have the tier one epix which would bring you up to 120 energy.

Assasin can be good for pve as burst damage can take certain things out but i find things like warrior based npcs can take a big chunk of you health off if the skills you use dont crit alot.

I cannot really comment on the final talent tree as ive only ever really used it for prep which i had for 4 or 5 days and respec'd as i wasnt to keen, but for pve is ment to be real nice, its always worth having at least 10 - 15 points in there at higher levels for the +damage on your backstab and stuff alike and also Master of deception is a NEED for all rogues.. and i mean NEED its ALWAYS the first 5 points i use in talents no matter what.

at the moment i have a spread out build, i cant remember exatly the points used but its something alone the lines of 21,19,10 but i cant remember if that is even the right amount of points you get for being 60 ( then again I cant even remember where i am right now i have a great memory )

But IMO if you are looking for quick leveling, grab two swords and go combat spec I was combat spec from level 10 - 60 before i respec'd to assasin/combat

One thing to remember is that with the biggest slowest mainhand you can find you will do more with your sinister strikes as they add to weapon damage and are instant, negating any issues with weapon speed. I just went on ah and bought the highest damage thing i could find - turned out to be a mace. And i have a fast dagger in off-hand to apply poisons fast. And while you can't ambush with this if you are grinding you can still rupture (although you wont be able to gouge then) and in pvp you can still cheapshot (am 26 with my rogue). Also with daggers you have to worry about being behind them to backstab, which is a pain in 1v1 fights.

    couldnt agree with you more

for your main hand weapon, do NOT look for high dps but look for highest damage (I.E 20 - 30 at 1.7 attack speed with dps if 19.8 is no good for main hand rogues but something like 25 - 45 at 2.5 seconds with 17.3 dps is something that you will benifit from alot more, and them numbers were made up so dont crossrefence them )

offhand go for dps/speed nuff said and as Mr mesh pointed out daggers are nice as they apply poisons but fist weapons are THE best for poisons in the game as the moment, if you can get a group for The Stockades in stormwind there is a nice rare fist weapon at 1.7 attack speed and good dps ALSO has a chance on hit to stop target casting which is handy

OK, was playing abit last night managed to level up 1 and a half levels just by doing a few quests around westfalls and going into the deadmines twice! I just got invited into a random non-english group and it was fun, I got some dudes hammer or something, was worth like 10 silver so I sold it!

Ohhh can't wait to get back home now!

Subtlety tree is only worth 10 points for PvE, to get Opportunity (20% increase in ambush and backstab damage), and on'y if you're a dagger rogue obviously. Preperation is nice for a PvP build though, as rogues are so reliant on cooldowns to actually beat anyone.

I don't have MoD and don't really miss it, only a problem is in PvP when fighting other rogues, they always see me first. But I'm specced for PvE and that's what i spend 80% of my time doing so it's not a problem for me.

Aggree totally there, so much easier to grind/level with swords. Need to get myself a decent one before the expansion

still yet to be beated by a mage but as stated its only early levels mages again own at higher levels at this point its to easy, being a gnome warrior, I have 2 ways of getting out of freeze/slowdowns trinket and gnomish racial skill. had a mage running from me every time and they never realise that they have to try and keep me IN combat to get away other wise im just going to intercept and charge every time they blink ^ ^ then again I seem to have only ever found mages that dont have a clue how to play their class.

Really lookin forward to a challenge at higher levels
