I've only seen 2 cases of someone buying an account, 1st one was a rogue in my guild who quit and sold his account. It went to a preist on our server who uses it for farming purposes, and later actually joined our giuld (on the preist).

The second time was a warrior from the top alliance guild on our server. The guild didn't know anything about it until they took him to a BWL run and found he didn't have a clue what to do. Was later kicked when they realised it wasn't the same person behind the character, still unguilded AFAIK.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

It's possible, but they will ban the account if they find out it's sold (same as they ban gold farmers and bots). Just cos there's hundreds of companies doing it, doesn't mean blizzard approves.

If blizz had the time to fix the shaman / pladin problems instead of simply giving each race the other class they would have time to ban bots

Selling accounts is all about advertising - if you advertise the name / server etc, prepare for bannage

Or, "WTS UBER Warrior with phat epix on EU server", then only speak to people on msn etc

Plenty of people are buying accounts, the one on our server that went for the most was a warrior called manse, full T2 (when it was impressive) 2 legendry weapons as well as Ashkandi and god knows what else. The person who bought it paid around 7k euro for it

What are the rules like on selling through this forum? I thought it wouldn't be allowed but a quick flick through revealed someone from Scan selling theirs here.

I used to be part of a large (American) gaming community when wow was launched, my account had 2 level 60's when i left. Because of the community i was in it was hard to do long raids with the guild, they were always short of hunter, so they would regularly use mine...i would log into find i had a couple of new epics.....evry week
my desire to raid ultimately made me leave the american servers for the european servers...Gave the account to the guild to use, seemed the right thing to do after they spent nearly as much time on the character as i did

Slowly making our way through what most of you will probably consider easy bosses, but our guild finally got razorgore down as we start to try and find our way through BWL. Looked at Vael and was amazed how cool the fight is. Only get him down 9% before wiping on our first few attempts, but given a few more of our better geared 300+FR tanks and i think we stand a damn fine chance.

Moam went down on saturday 2nd try and i do appreciate taking 4 warlocks + 2 Priests + 1 hunter = way to mana drain him to death. No explosion = 0 deaths hehe.

Also did Amariss the Hunter on our 5th ever go on our first visit to him. Ossarian on the other hand will take a few more attempts. Healing our MT on the run seems to be a nightmare.

A hunter in your preist group for aspect of the pack is really helpful for that, and the druids can travel form to catch up. It's a tough fight, and if your tanks get 1 unlucky knockback it's pretty much over. But he does have some very nice loot

Once everybody gets the hang of moving all the time its pretty easy, although can still go very wrong if a tank slips up and ends up behind instead of ahead of Ossirian. I finally got exhalted with CC the other week and completed my AQ20 set with a tasty spell damage mace

Arrgg, CC rep, I'm just waiting on a few more Qiraji Lord's Insignia's since I got bored of Twilight Text farming a long time ago Then it's time for Earthstrike

Completed leveling my warrior on Neptulon. Got him equipped with a bunch of Blues from UBRS/Scholo etc. etc.

Busy leveling up a warlock now ^.^ Lots of fun!
