Can't say that name rings any bells, there are 2,500+ of us in ASCN though
Yeah, we conquered TRIBE's region Paragon Soul, it was quick though, they didn't put up a fight
It only took the obligitory 5 days to clear out the TRIBE POS's.
There's a lot of politics behind why we took it, but essentially it comes down to "We want your region, you are in the way. Move."

Oh, my corp is about to start recruiting and trying to grow. Currently its made up of a load of us that we know in RL. Any advise anyone can give about things like that? I am working on a website and resources for new players so should be good fun.
(The fact I am posting on hexus in eve downtime is complete coincidence)
Whilst the subject of Teir 3 BS's, reading various forums etc - they should be out September time, I'd quite like a caldari sniper BS - infact im training up for an eagle then all the T2 hybrids
Good job to you guys taking the Paragon Soul region, the corp im in - althougth not in an alliance is very anti VOID alliance. We do get some good fights out of them, which is good.

Would you feel bad for destroying an alliance? Thinking about it, there only people trying to play a game and have fun so I feel kind of feel sorry for them? Having there months or years of work destroyed so quickly. I know its just a game, but it must be frustrating for people? Morality issues in eve?
In a way they had it coming, they had previously rolled over whe BoB entered their space, they showed the rest of 0.0 just how weak their defences were.. ASCN were putting pressure on them to toughen up, because we didn't want an enemy to roll into Paragon and take it as a base of operations against us.. so after months of arguing, ASCN finally decided it was time to strengthen Paragon Soul's defences, even if that meant taking the region for ourselves.
Our suspicions were confirmed when we attacked them.. literally no opposition was met, it only took 5 days because that's how long it takes to remove 30+ POS's purely because of game mechanics (POS's don't just pop, they go into 'reinforced mode' where they are invulnerable for 'x' amount of time, dependant upon how much Strontium Cathrates they have as fuel left)
POS wars suck.
As for remorse.. absolutely none. As you say, it's a game. Everyone in 0.0 also has to understand that at anytime someone will take everything from you. Infact that's a rule every player should accept.. only need to look at GHSC's foul play to realise that. (Corp Theft on a grand scale)

I'm interested in mining, manufacturing, etc. but want to do a bit of PvE and PvP too (not gigantic fleet stuff just yet though)
Got 3 accounts (I know I'm addicted), 1 is a miner, 1 is for PvE/PvP and another is a kind of jack of all trades, mainly focused on helping with mining though.

Fleet is actually more simple and easier to do than small skirmishes.
When in fleet's, all you do is fit out for damage, then listen on TS for who to shoot, that's it

Anyone tried the new AF's yet (or rather the fixed af's) ? Planning on getting myself a wolf and a jaguar to have fun with sometime.

you can go into combat within a day. I've been known to use a 500k SP alt for the odd bit o' ganking in empire (0.4 and less) systems.Well, my PvP/E alt is very new, still getting the learning skills up so I'm not really ready for any combat yet
Tis great fun fighting in a Kessie or Caracal with bugger all skills
