Blue tits are surprisingly fast. Shot at 1/125. Even the shots at 1/200 were a blur if they were moving. I set up my camera with my 50mm 1.8 on a tripod then used a wireless shutter release.

all birds are fast, not just blue tits 1/400 and you can still end up with a blur..
