I went into town earlier for the wakas and pretty much got beaten up. It was extremely busy! I managed to get a few snapshots by holding my tripod above my head and using a remote trigger.
This evening I went up Mount Eden to get the fireworks for the Rugby World Cup opening. So did probably a couple of thousand other people. I'm disappointed with the way most of my photos turned out. Exposing the city nicely meant the fireworks were clipping. It was difficult and I only had ten minutes to mess around.
I'm on very limited and extortionate mobile broadband so I can't do much uploading.
Lit by moonlight.
Half an hour later, this was packed. You can see the Southern Cross just to the right of centre at the very top.
And the fireworks.
The colours might be off because I'm on my laptop. I'm still having dust problems, but most of it seems to go if I use the built in sensor cleaning function.
Tricky shots, last one looks good though.
Never done any portrait work before so I convinced my wife to do a bit of posing for me.
I was testing a 7d in the shops a few weeks ago inside a store and notice this gloomy kid lol. the AF is sensational i must say

To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

My son's wedding in Cornwall -
My three kids :
The light was awful, I didn't take my polariser, had to use gamma correction in Pshop to lift the stuff out of the blackness... a tricky shoot, and not my best BUT a great day nonetheless
