Personally, bobsters edits look a lot, lot more natural, the skin looks pretty much spot on, nice natural tones, in comparison to your original edit, your image is really warm.

The actual picuture itself is a good photo though, captures a nice mood

Also, bobster, thanks for sharing the crops, it's amazing to see how much better/different an image looks with a creative crop!

The crops I like, but the skin looks a little too bright to me, but then my monitor is a cheap 'never been calibrated in its life' dell that's about 8 years old so it probably looks good if I was able to view it as it's meant to be

i haven't touched your exposure (was spot on) - but i have her face a little more depth with some burning..

Yeah I've adjusted the brightness using that scale from your website before, so I have it with 0% being fully white and 100% being full black but I assume that's not the only thing involved in monitor calibration? Over at talkphotography there's a Pantone Spyder calibration unit going around that anyone can borrow, I may do that.

There's a variation between them and the 0 and 100 respectively. I'm not sure how much of a difference there should be (and I'm at my work computer right now so will have to do the same once I'm home), there is one but it's slight.

you should see variation between 0-5% and little between 95-100
