Noise or not that is amazing Bagnaj97

It is, just a few months ago I'd have been so jealous of someone taking a picture like that.
But now I can take such pictures I can't help but compare them to even better ones. http://www.astrobin.com/275054/C/ for example - the kit's not too dissimilar to mine and the exposure length is similar - the difference is likely down to processing skill (which I sorely lack) and light pollution (which I can't do much about)

I think my images have done the equivalent of upgrading from a celeron to an i3 - Decent enough, but now I'm eyeing up the i5s and i7s...

    Re: Photo-a-day

Id have been MORE than happy to produce that matey

I had to give up astronomy a while ago due to the Fibro, I used to have an 8" reflector on a motorised EQ5, but it got to the stage where I couldn't lift the thing to take it into the garden

Just out of curiosity who did the 450 mod ? Andy Ellis perhaps at astronomiser ? Another old mate from UKAI
    Cheers, David

Would a lighter widefield setup still be manageable?
You can get some incredible results with a Skywatcher Star Adventurer (or similar), DSLR and lens.
    Example1 Example2

450d was bought modded from ebay, although I've just ordered a 12v power supply for it from astronomiser - I've had enough of changing batteries mid imaging run.

I did that too, ended up with a 500mm f5 ST, still too much for me I remain a member at UKAI just to see the brilliant stuff you guys are producing these days !
