russ u may work on a phone line within the nhs but i have actualy worked on a one on one basis with people claiming asylum and therefore i can see that behind every number u tally up or every file u flick thru there is a real person.

Ive watched families torn apart by the imprisoning of asylum seekers and ive also people burnt out of their homes because they are seen as spongers. As i said before instead of whining about the effect asylum seekers have on the social services why don't u get off ur ass and do something about government spending cuts, privitisation and layers and layers of managers instead of actual productive workers. If u are so concerned about the social services i can put u in touch with groups who are organising around these issues, but im guessing ud rather blame immigrants rather than ur own apathy for the state of our social services.
"The less you eat, drink and buy books; the less you go to the theatre, the dance hall, the public house; the less you think, love, theorise, sing, paint, fence, etc., the more you save – the greater becomes your treasure which neither moths nor rust will devour – your capital. The less you are, the less you express your own life, the more you have, the greater is your alienated life, the greater is the store of your estranged being." Karl Marx

Are you saying you would let in EVERYONE seeking asylum, or cap it?

im saying, the UK is far to leanient, people who are suffering are welcome in this country, there escaping torture, people who want to move here to live and work legally, are welcome. but, do you HONESTLY believe EVERYONE who trys to seek asylum is being persecuted? i doubt it.

Yes. Right on. What price a life? Now then, what's that oath all UK Doctors take? About saving life regardless?

Russ: There are illegal immigrants in most 'Western' countries. Them people who would wish to be here are quite ingenious at getting in. Why, they'll even risk death in the back of an airtight refrigeareted Arctic Lorry, that's how clever they are.

Not that I agree with it. I don't. But that's how. We're an easy touch, despite being an island.

Let's shoot every last one of them. there, that should keep you happy.

Because Britain is the fourth richest nation on earth, and people want to be part of that. It's quite obvious I would have thought.

Not that this has anything to do with asylum seekers.
