it doesnt help m/s when ur endorphines drop and u haven,t got a spliff then the need for one makes you depressed. as if they haven,t got enuff to worry about. if it was as uncomplicated as people thought it would allready be legal i mean what u gotta think is why would the government be stopping it. imagine the tax they could put on it. it costs virtually nothin to produce and they can charge at least £20 for a bag of nice weed. And all that well there isnt a problem in amsterdamme argument is pap aswell. The damme is full of immigrants and class a drugs (just thought id add that last bit b4 some1 says it)

true amsterdam is full of imigrants and class A drugs, but what major city isnt? Also the percentage of people using class a drugs in holland is the lowest in europe. Also watching the tramps in amsterdam is part of the fun, watching them pray on naive tourists.

amsterdam has just under a million people living there, and ~7000 hard drug users. thats hardly any compared to UK stats (cba to dig em out).
when i was there, the junkies weren't all that amusing, as i was perma-stoned and they induced major paranoia, but when you are out of the Red Light District, its pretty much fine and free of em. shame our hotel was in the middle of there

i stayed in the botel which was nice i couldnt see many junkies as most tend not to be aquatic.

But i never said anything about the residents of that country who actually own a dutch passport. (ie the ones who would have been included in the statistics you read)

what about the thousands of spanish immigrants goin round with their gr8 sales pitch which consists of 2 words cocaine and ecstasy?

+ the many thousand tourists who decided to extend their holidays to a lifetime because of the benefits of staying in such a drug ridden society.

I have smoked for going on seven years, I dont depend on it I dont crave it I smoke it maybe once a week on average, its there when I want it but thats not all the time, I have fun with it much like I would do doing something else I enjoy (like for example going to the movies).

The government would legalise it if it was a taxable drug but unfortunately/fortunately it can be grown far too easily.

I dont smoke anywhere near as much as I used to. It came not long after my 1st visit to Amsterdam actually - I basically woke up in my own bed not knowing how I got from the last coffeeshop to home. It's funny for some, but that just weirded me out (just imagine, anything couldve happened in that time, and it probably DID) and decided it wasnt for me on that scale anymore.

I like it, but I can easily do without it. I must say that Edinburgh seems a lot more relaxed when it comes to enforcing cannabis laws . . . whereas down the road to the west where Strathclyde Police are in charge, it's a different story.

nah mate, we were in Heart Of Amsterdam hotel, rite next door to Cannabis College
the memories of that trip are rather hazy to say the least, but the ones i do still have are great

Some of the people in this thread need to not bother replying unless they properly research their arguements.

Some of the BS i've read in this thread:

- Cannabis is a gateway drug to harder drugs.
- Alcahol doesnt kill brain cells and does less damage than cannabis.

The people who put forward those arguements or supported them need to FO to the library and read up on the research done on Cannabis as well as peoples personal experiences. ( Russ? )

- Yes, I do smoke cannabis, and NO, i don't use harder drugs and have no wish to.
- No i don't depend on Cannabis completly and I am capable of going without it.
- I also don't smoke fags as I find them pointless and disgusting.
- I use the most mild/light tobacco I can in my spliffs and I also use the thinnest skins I can so as to reduce the ammount of crap I am inhaling.

Yes, I have suffered *slight* memory loss, but what are you gunna do? If I had used alcahol I would be suffering from liver problems by now, have exposed loutish behaviour and no doubt cause much more trouble/hassle than my Cannabis use has.

I use it in private and out of the way of others. I don't force my use / beliefs on others and I certainly don't force other people to want to use it or inhale my 2nd hand smoke.
