    Awaiting receipt of parcel

    Hi there,

I ordered a Phenom II X6 CPU and 6950 graphics card. I called yesterday and was told the CPU was out of stock, (it was showing as in when I ordered.) I took the CPU off the order as the graphics card was for a birthday present and I didn't want to delay the order.

I got an email to say it had been dispatched yesterday evening and thought all was well, however the dpd site still says Awaiting receipt of parcel.

Does this mean I will get it today or not?

    Thank you

    John

    Hi JP7152,
I am in the same boat but I think when is states "Awaiting receipt of parcel" I took this as being me as the customer is "Awaiting receipt of Parcel" as it has yet to been delivered today maybe wrong though?

    Re: Awaiting receipt of parcel

My DPD delivery is also showing "Awaiting receipt of parce".... although I assumed this ment it was still on route to my local depo. The message is fairly confusing, next dat delivery collected by DPD from Scan on the 4th, expected delivery is the 5th, dont think its going to make it.

Anyone know what "Awaiting receipt of parce" actually means?

i wouldn't normally post in someone else's thread in this section, but what the hell.

I've got the same message concerning my delivery for today. Was hoping that it was just a mistake, but its almost 1.30 it hasn't changed and neither have DPD turned up. So not going to hold my breath for delivery today.

    Re: Awaiting receipt of parcel

Well, I dont think you will get your parcels to be honest..

According to DPD website, you should have had the following information given to you..

    *************************************************************
DPD will provide your customers with a one hour delivery window so they don’t have to wait in all day for their parcel.

    When DPD deliver for you:

Your customer is given a one hour delivery window
They are notified of this by text or email
If not convenient they can use the text or email to change the delivery date

    Further investigation indicates the following..
DPD were pre-advised they would get your parcel, but they have not received it from the sender yet.

    Below taken from SCAN website

    Important Notice:
Update 5th Jan 10:30 - Parcels despatched for delivery today (5th Jan) were unavoidably delayed due to a serious road traffic accident last night. As a consequence the delivery of some parcels will not be possible today. Please continue to check this page and the DPD tracking page for the latest information regarding your delivery.

    Re: Awaiting receipt of parcel

My delivery has been updated... now the status shows "Your parcel has been received at our sortation hub", I'm assuming this means its still waiting before being dispatched to my local depo, fingers crossed it might arrive tomorrow

This isn't a complaint, I order from scan due to their fantastic customer service, delivery has always been hit and miss, although I prefer DPD 's one hour slot, so far this has always been spot on for me and very much appreciated.
