I would not trust Exxxxxx with their usually in stock BULL crap anyway as i have had a few experiences with them in the past taking your money for items not in stock and don't even let you know....then it's down to you telephoning and asking for a refund many days later.

    Can't fault SCAN.

You'll have to wait for the product to go up on the website. Check back here, you'll see soon enough.

Come on bring them in! I used to buy in Overclockers but after in these forums for a bit and reading how well Scan deals with issues I think I am going to take my business to them!

it makes me laugh seeing this it is a wonderful idea from scan but not really that selfless they'll get rid of the old b3 stock to people who dont care about stepping and guarantee themselves sales to hexusites who want go stepping

a completely business like act this has nothing to do with customers it makes good business sense to do it
although i find it quite funny how everyone gives positive feedback when they do this but half of the people giving positive feedback were moaning about how bad scans delivery system was 6 months ago but thats all forgotten

all it takes is free carriage to buy ignorance

A rather synicale view really ....

We are proving a service for our Customer's that no other or not many Retailers are able to offer, Obviously we are a Business here for the obvious reasons....

We are a Customer Focussed Retailer giving customer's what they want .. This has everything to do with our customer's as this decision has been made directly in response to Customer feedback...

Providing free carriage etc, may gain short term Business but this alone would not secure customer retention.

Over the past 18 years we have built a solid reputation for being a quality and innovative supplier to the retail/e-tail markets securing this customer retention, shown by our long standing customer's and Retailer awards...

The incentives, extra services we provide I guess are our way of saying - THANKS !....

To give something back to our Customer's and our aim is to continuously improve.

    Regards

If you've done any research, you will have noticed that there is big demand for the g0's. What is obvious from Scan's approach is that they are not going to a charge a premium for these. If Scan wanted, they could easily bump the price up by a few pounds and they would easily make a killing. However, unlike other retailers, they've decided not to rip people off.

In this day and age, surely that is something to be commended?

I find your comment about free carriage and ignorance to be in poor taste.

^^ Well, I guess everyone is entitled to their point of view

I wouldn't call it a purely selfless act as I seriously doubt there will be dual stock around for long once G0 steppings start shipping.

Personally, I think it's a very wise decision and I welcome it. Scan will hopefully benefit by securing orders that may have gone elsewhere, thus winning new custom, and we, the users, benefit by getting a guaranteed G0 stepping (if that's what you want) when they become available.

It's a win-win situation and lets not forget, it's one that we, the community, asked for.

So please, if you feel that cynical towards the deal then perhaps it would be best to refrain from commenting.

Well, that's a good sign. You can bet that everyone is going to be getting G0 stock at about the same time. They probably all buy from the same distributors, and once Intel starts distributing G0 stock everyone will be getting it as soon as they've turned over their old B3 stock.

At the volume levels these chips are probably selling, I doubt there'll be more than a couple of weeks window where both B3 and G0 are in circulation together.

There are a lot of people giving positive feedback on here, I have noticed, but Scan are a large business not some non-profit charity .org. They're making money and at the same time, giving consumers a decent deal compared to other companies so why get so emotional about it? Chill out!

I think you should be able to criticise positively and I also think you shouldn't get swore at just because you disagree.
