Re: Scan to split Intel Quad Q6600 GO Stepping CPU's !!!

Im keeping these on my watch list for then Crysis and UT show up. No point getting one if crysis doesn't support quad core, well atleast for me anway. Still on a CD2 now. Don't know if my small bedroom can cope with more heat though. Its like a sauna in here with this overclocked and an 8800

Oh well. /me gets the rocks and water for some steam

Patience is a virtue! I'm sure they're doing their best to get hold of them.

Once they get them in, they'll be flying out the door.

Re: The Sadist & His Masochist ....

Ha ha some ones been watching too many documentries *light harted jest*

Good sentiment but whats wrong with masochism or even sadism.

Hmmm might be going off topic now

A public entity like a business, because it is dealing with many, automatically invites interaction from the public at large .

Likes or dislikes is a personal matter and Scan deals with all on an individual level and they do it for one reason only and that is to attract future business because they are not a charity. The maturity of its business model will dictate how successful it becomes [or are] but that is for the individual to judge. To influence others for or against means bonding which is good news for a business. There will always be pros and cons but the ultimate duty of each buyer is to ensure his own advantage comes first.

There is no need to be for or against, just listing the facts will do and one main fact is that every action that a business undertakes is for self gain and nothing else. Whether we know it, agree with it, or not. An entity’s strength is only tested when it is asked to perform “off-design”/at the limits of its capability and when that happens, it will reveal its true nature, whether it is a sadist, a masochist or a balanced and fair example for all to follow. That’s one reason why that if a god or God exists and He is reputed to be every where and everything to all, almost no one had ever seen Him. That failure is not because He doesn’t exist, it’s because we are too busy being a sadist or a masochist to notice where Truth lies.

We can only judge others properly when we have successfully judged ourself first, and not the other way round. Scan is just an entity and like all entities, the old financial hard sell warning applies and that is, “Past performance is no guarantee of future results”. Take every purchase as your first with no bias of for or against and you’ll have no reason to become sadistic or masochistic when the system goes “busoms up”. The modern “Chosen Few” idea of justice through plying on the greed card by way of “solicitors”, compensation and similar tricks-of-justice, is the same card that makes everybody blame others for everything, including our health which the quacks and their sadistic Big Pharma masters are only too happy to comply. Perpetual income is finally within their grasp and a close second to those who indulge in the fashion of being great, the masochistic religious nutters.

Read that & couldn't help but think of the lottery balls being released. I hope the analogy doesn't carry through too far; I doubt they bounce well. Reminds me, I have a City Link delivery expected tomorrow.

Not at all, if we had them physically here, we'd activate it and prepare the server for an onslaught of visits to the PID code

As soon as they arrive you lot will be the first to know

Will you have advanced confirmation of delivery? Is it just that you don't want to make that public when you have it, or do you not expect confirmation in advance of the stock actually arriving?

Is there a particular time of day when the product is likely to go live on your site?

Just trying to find out how often & when I should be checking
