Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew of this current problem at Scan? They have e-mailed me twice now to notify me of a delay due to "unexpected volumes in the warehouse". I was wondering when this back log was due to be cleared and my delivery picked and delivered?
I ordered last Friday, in the hope of recieving the goods on the Monday (I seleceted this as the delivery date), but am now still stuck here on Thursday with no further news other than being told all the items I ordered are apparently in stock (although the website actually stated they were out of sotck before I ordered and are now back in stock again today). Is this a case of Scan waiting until they had the products back in stock again before continuing my order (even though they still haven't picked the goods)?
The only reason I suspect this is because I haven't read on here of any other real problems regarding order delays. Sure, there appear to be a couple of posts due to problems with certain products, but everything I ordered appeared in stock and there is a lack of posts regarding this warehouse issues (on quick glance).
I know this may sound a little over the top, but I ordered from Scan in the hope I'd recieve the goods on the Monday (as everything I ordered was in stock and I had previously ordered from them without a problem). Instead I'm stuck here without the goods I ordered, whilst the other stores I had considered purchasing from had the stock come in on Monday. Meaning I could have ordered from them and be sitting here with the products I ordered. I would have considered cancelling on the Monday and possibly ordering somewhere else, but I thought Scan would sort the problem out quicker than this. I would have expected they'd get some warehouse guys working over time to clear the back log over night (as I have had to do previously whilst working for an electrical goods store at this time of year), but I guess Scan haven't considered this?
It's slightly disappointing as my previous experiences with Scan have been fantastic.
Anyway, my basic point in making this post was to ask when Scan will actually manage to clear their backlog of orders?
Thanks,
Tim
