Hi
How long is the RMA procedure from Scan for replacing a Faulty Item ?
I have sent back my Motherboard & checked the City Link Website, someone by the name of JACOBS has signed for it.
My Order no:
<snipped>
Thanks.

Never had to RMA anything with them but I was under impression that RMA service would be heavily dependant on the manufacturer?
The 1st year is covered by the retailer
You should have had a reply as I can see that Ian from returns has replied to your query and the returns department are awaiting your response.
Best Regards,
thanks for the heads up, spoken to someone in rma dept.
After Scan has checked over the motherboard and found nothing wrong with it, I was told that for them to send my motherboard back it would cost me £41 inc. vat " Are we Serious Scan" is this Right ? This motherboard cost me £76 inc delivery & now you want another £41, can someone look into this ?
I would rather have the board then the refund, but if the charge is applied I think im more better off getting a Refund.
Thanks.
Hi,
The charges are made up of £15 for collection £10 for testing and £10 for the return of goods back to yourself plus the VAT. City-Link charge us more for a collection than they do for a delivery. If you were to have returned the goods to us at your own cost obviously you would not incur the original collection charge.
I appreciate the cost of the motherboard however the charges as outlined above would be the same whether the item was £50 or £550.
If the RMA was requested within 7 days from the date after you signed for the goods originally and the goods have been returned in the same condition we shipped them to you then we can provide a refund and deduct the charge for collection and testing from your refund.
I can understand it is frustrating to return items you believe to be faulty only for them to be tested as not faulty, however as a company we feel it is only fair for us to expect end users to cover out of pocket expenses just as we would be expected to do if you had been supplied with faulty goods.
Regards
