Right - We've just spoken to the big guns at XFX. Dunno why but their shipment left late from their distribution centre today. It should arrive at our suppliers tomorrow and then from there they have to come to us.

Fingers crossed they could arrive tomorrow, therefore its a stampede to release these to the pre-orders so all the gamers can have all weekend to play and tweak before doom 3 comes out. As soon as I get any further developments - good or bad I will of course update all you hexites out there.

Until then all I can do is keep badgering XFX and our suppliers.

    Best Regards,

    Lee

No worries Ricahrd - nothing else to do at home yet as waiting for windows update to finish so I'd thought I'd pop on and update you all. Its better to keep everyone informed rather than just keep you all dangling on a string so to speak

Indeed, I prefer more info rather than none. I've always had good feedback for keeping people updated with things. These forums have come in pretty handy for that!

    cheers.

Try THREE months m8, thats the lead time a lot of us have had to contend with.
You are lucky Scan has a propriety arrangement direct with NVIDIA hardware manufacturers (XFX for example) you can expect a much quicker resolution than us GAINWARD fanboys.
However, I want to clarify that it's not Scan's fault, but the fault of NVidia's 'paper roll out' for the 6800 series.
If you recollect NVidia promised a worldwide 30-day availability back in APRIL (ATi promised similar) yet what do we find? NVIDIA release their pci express cards within weeks of the 6800 'roll-out'.

    You have to laugh right?

    Right?

    update

XFX cards HAVE arrived and we recieved enough cards to cover the pre-orders so all you lucky and patient folks who wanted a 6800u card from XFX should all be recieving them tomorrow

As for the lurkers who are after a 6800u based card - we still have a few of the gainward 6800u cards in stock, but all the XFX have been allocated and reserved to pre-orders.

We have more XFX cards coming soon - eta about 1 to 2 weeks

As for the clock speeds - I'm sure they are 400 hz / 1100 Mhz core and memory speed respectively.

    Best Regards
