Well I could make several comments to that but its probably wise if I dont

All I shall say is that it will be a lot quieter, anyway Noxis hope this card is ok and you dont have any further problems and if you need any further help with future orders just give us a call

I see that the status on Scan has changed to August 4th now. Can you establish the quantity of this delivery and therefore will there be enough to fulfil new orders (say if I placed one today?)

Ricahrd - All being well there should be enough of these coming in and also a quantity more for new orders.

We still have to confirm the exact numbers from XFX however indications from them at the moment are VERY positive

We should be able to confirm the exact numbers on Monday (when we shall have to place the order with them, I belive they will contact the purchasing department Mon afternoon with the exact quantity)

With regard the Ultra they still will be limited for I belive the next few weeks only and therefore should be widely available from the middle of August.

Thanks Carl, much appreciated. I need to order the 6800 and a hard drive (one you have in-stock). But I need this hard drive to go out today. Is this possible, or will both items be held until next Wed/Thu?

If you place the order via the website then it will be held till all the items are in stock.

If you place the order via the sales number and ask to speak to myself I shall arrange the graphics card to follow on once we recieve the new stock

Hi Carl,

Found this thread on google while searching for places with ultra cards to sell.

The XFX Ultra card listed on scan's website has a note on it 'delay est 2/3 weeks'. Is this a new note or something thats been there for a week or two? You seemed pretty confident you were going to get stock....

Welcome to the hexus forums Cabal

Well for 1 we are the UK premier partner for nvidia and their various resellers at the present time. A quick visit to the www.nvidia.co.uk website will show how "premier" we actually are

We have active communication with the various suppliers and manufacturers of the cards on a daily basis at the last I heard today before I left for home is that we are due at least 30 Ultra based XFX cards this week sometime.

However, all these are at the moment allocated with backorders and there is going to be a 2/3 week delay after this last shipment, but hopefully we'll get a load of the GT cards which can be clocked to the same speed as the ultra giving similar performance for less cost

Hope this information helps, I'm off to grab my tea now.

Thanks for the reply Lee, I didn't realise Scan had such a close relationship with nvidia, though I can vouch for the quality of 3XS systems. This card (if I ever get it) is destined for my luvverly dual 2.8 Xeon I got from you guys about 14 months ago. Unfortunately I run linux and don't get to use the vendor drivers with the additional overclocking abilities that come with the cards (or so I assume), so for me an Ultra is the only thing I'm going to consider. And my company's paying so I'm not going to weep over the extra few bucks.

So, Scan guys. I've got a fairly meaty order to place to freshen this machine up but I don't want to be waiting around too long because of a delayed graphics card (and I'm not interested in getting everything in two tranches). If I placed my order today or tomorrow which dual DVI 6800 Ultra card would be most likely to ship first, taking into account existing back orders?
Even better, can you list your expected ship dates for all the ultra cards you have listed? Pretty please? And don't forget to take those pesky back orders into account as well. Not asking much am I?

Sorry Cabal. I cannot foresee any of the cards being spare for sale to customers as we have substancial back-orders placed by people ranging back over 7-9 weeks.

If there is any chance of a spare leftover 6800u I'll let know as soon as I know
