    city link suck!

Just had a mail from Scan to say CL have contacted them as they have been unable to deliver my order. Just checked the CL webpage with my tracking number and they claim they tried to deliver Tuesday and Wednesday. Very strange as someone was in all day on both of these days and even stranger (ho bloody ho!) there was NO card left on either day! I now have the prospect of waiting til next Wednesday to get my order due to not being in all day until them or have a 60 mile round trip to go and collect it either tomorrow or Saturday. Not the first time this has happened to me with CL, they are appalling.

    Yey... another unhappy City-Link Customer.
    Read my story here.

I ended up getting it in the end. I phoned them up on the friday afternoon (bearing in mind it should have been delivered on the monday), and they said, 'Its on the van, it'll be with you on the evening delivery round'

Come 7 o clock, it still hadn't arrived. I was fuming, then comes a knock at the door. Stood there was some poor sap with a big parcel, and here's how the conversation went:

    City-Link krone: Parcel for you.
Me: Aha... finally *as i try to grab it off him*
CLK: *looks like he's just about to smack me*
Me: *In fit of rage at the moment, he tries anything, he's going to die*

Turns out they'd fxxxed something up in the depot (Exeter if anyone cares), realised they'd messed up, and sent this poor sod half way across Devon to get it to me at 7.30 on a friday night.

Well, they do fine for me, and I'm in the north of Scotland, which is quite far from Scan HQ. Its not a hugely unexpected thing for delivery companies to sometimes be crap, its just the natue of them

I find with city link it is best to have items delivered to your work address, I used to have problems with city link from another online store I used to use when I specified delivery to my home address.
Bored of the old one, new one coming soon

Totally agree with zulander. My guy here is great. When I lived a few miles away the service was dreadful. City Link Bingo...

City Link are the best of the bad if you get my meaning.

All delivery companies are totally crap (with RMSD as the exception in my area anyway).

City Link always pulls stunts where they just dont bother to try and deliver to you and just claim that they did. Shocking!

I was awaiting a delivery today from City Link from eBuyer (*spit*) - I ordered yesterday afternoon and asked for "Priority Express" which cost me nearly £12 in total for shipping but was guaranteed to get here today... no sign of it but 2pm, I tracked the delivery on the City Link website, and it said there was no consignment with that number. Strange I thought, so I rang eBuyer and explained the situation, and the response was "oh, this is one of those things where it says it's despatched but it actually isn't... you should receive it by next Tuesday". Words can't describe exactly how bad that is.... to fork out an extra £5 for uber-delivery, to be told it was despatched last night, then to be told this afternoon that it actually wasn't?! lol... needless to say I threw a mental and he refunded me back the £5, and I should receive the delivery sometime next week :/

City Link have always been totally reliable for me. It does help that if I miss them, the depot is only 3 miles away from me.
