I wish it were true. Sadly, I started to think the same of late and so gave them a go. 2 weeks later, after having taken my money. No goods and no contact from them. Chase em up and after a few times find out the item is out of stock and was never in stock in the first place (even though web site said otherwise). Had to get a full refund in the end.

I ordered a Point of View 8800 GTS that they had on special offer.

Turned out it was second hand and was artifacting. My guess it was a return from someone else they shipped out to me.

Got a full refund and after that my Hexus forum signature changed.

Are they really all that bad?

Seem to be plenty of happy customers on their forums no?

I have seen a few times peoples threads get deleted if they complain about service or something.. That should tell me everything i guess.

All the people on the forum are happy because the ones that aren't happy get deleted

I'm sticking with Scan and Ebuyer

Re: Overclockers UK Welcome back offer

I've used them 3 times without fault.

My mate has used them more and had to RMA a couple of times. It was slow and a little painful due to their lack of updates but it was sorted within 2 weeks.

I've called them a couple of times and depending on the day/person you can get nice people you can get pretty useless people. Sales are obviously very nice all the time, its returns who can be a pain.

I ordered a few bits and pieces from OcUK and its been fine, although it has been a few years between orders being placed and only for fantastic deals such as the 24" DGM PVA monitor

If you want to annoy them a treat turn up with a product to be rma'd/ repaired at there shop and watch the staff go mental! My friend did that because he got fed up with being fobbed off on the phone about his motherboard, as we were in Stafford it was a short drive to Stoke.

Re: Overclockers UK Welcome back offer

My current CPU, motherboard and ram all came from there, no issue with it or them at all to be honest. When I was pricing up at the time they came out the best.

Not used them recently though so can't comment.

Re: Overclockers UK Welcome back offer

They do have 280GTXs on there for £214.99 - 10% off takes them under £200 each (+VAT). Now _that_ is cheap. Must resist... Must resist....
