Unfortunately I have to call them from my three phone, which is an old LG.

So, Today I spoke to Mukhta, who eventually put me through to Parshuram in the customer options team, who eventually began mumbling the same old mumbo jumbo, "what is on the system is correct sir...", who I eventually had shout at to get him to listen to me.

Parshuram then told me that my case was being dealt with by Chanprashekhar Saroj, and that he would give me a call in 3-4 working days.

Its just delay tactics, but I will wait the 3-4 working days and nothing more before canceling my direct debit.

You've kinda put me off now going with a 3 contract now after all that hassle.. Trouble is they are the only operator I know of that do a £15 18 month contract which would suit me fine.

    UPDATE:

I called 3 customer services once again, as I had not heard from them.

I spoke to Chirag Bhimigigani who like every other person I spoke to seemed to not care or want to help me. Once again, I had to repeatedly ask to speak to a supervisor in a firm tone of voice for him to take me seriously.

He said the supervisor would call me back in 1 hour.

2 Hours later and nothing, so I called them again and this time I request to stay on the line until the supervisor was available.
10 Minutes later Richmond Gracias (A Supervisor) listens to me and apologises, its all they do, apologise and hope I am happy with that.

Richmond promises me that the billing team will re-calculate my account within 48 hours and I should see the changes in my next bill.

I told him that if they haven't corrected my account by the next bill I will cancel my direct debit, as they have broken the contract which I agreed to, he replied "Ok sir, but there is no need for extremes, you have my name", as if his name means anything, the manager I spoke to last month, Alister, seems to be completely unknown by everyone I have spoken to this month.

I just found out that three have sent my girlfriend a monthly bill, even though her contract ended last month, and she gave them a months notice to cancel it.

This is becoming ridiculous, now she will be calling them tomorrow too.

I have had similar problems with 3. Basically the staff in their Indian call will use any means, including deceit to keep you under contract.

My problems began when they upgraded my handset in 2005. Without my consent they changed my contract from 12 to 18 months (why would I agree to that?) I was unaware of this until 2006 when the company which provides the handsets contacted me about a further upgrade as the 12 month period was coming to an end. I chose a handset, only for them to call back to tell me this was no longer possible as I still had 6 months to run on my contract.

I contacted Delhi control, who insisted that they had done nothing wrong and refused to change my contract back to 12 months. There is absolutely no point in arguing with these people. They refuse to budge from their script. Out of sheer frustration I gave up and vowed to cancel the contract as soon as it expired.

In December 2006 I again contacted Delhi and told them I wished to terminate the contract when it expired in January and stated the reason why. They were very apologetic and asked me if I would stay with 3 if I was given 9 months free line rental. I replied that it was amazing how they were willing to listen now but not when I had the original problem. The 9 months free line rental however was very tempting even though I had switched to a contract with O2.

Wary of the previous deception, I twice asked the women to whom I was speaking, to confirm that this was definitely 9 months for free. Which she did. Lo and behold, yesteday I received a bill from 3. 6 months after I renewed the contract. When I contacted them, they insisted that I was given 12 months half price line rental. This was credited to my account in January and was now spent. They completely deny the 9 month offer and now revert back to the brick wall tactic. Only this time I will not give up. These people are con artists! I have so far contacted Ofcom and have an appointment with a solicitor this afternoon, to see where I stand legally.

Just try to make recordings of every conversation you ever have with them. And play it back for them.

And then take 3 to court. For breach of contract as well as anything else you can think of.

Its amazing what they think they can get away with.

if you do this, then make sure you are telling the operator that the call is being recorded, otherwise its not admissable

They record the whole conversation, or so they say.

Either way, if they have no proof of the contract which you agreed to, you can take them to court and almost certainly win.

I am waiting for my new bill, they said they have credited my account, if they haven't I am canceling the DD.

Please let me know how you get on leadfrog.

i think you need to cancel any direct debits they may have set up, send a recorded delivey letter explaining there a bunch of tits and your out of contract, they have no proof otherwise and are just a bunch of liars, welcome any legal action as you will double it and sue them back for all the hassle you have had.

Its all good that you will win the case.

But what happens if they put something on your credit report ? It can mess up things for you for years to come.

you can demand they remove it or sue for damages leading into tens of thousands in some cases.

I strongly advise you not to.

Have a look at 02 and TMobile.
