It seems there is a problem with some of the 4.1.1 Jelly Bean builds. I've finally sorted mine out by unlocking and rooting my Nexus 7 then installing 4.2.1 Jelly Bean via Nexus 7 ToolKit, which is located here:

I really wanted to keep my Nexus 7 stock, but the 4.1.1 build would not do a System Update. Once I unlocked the Bootloader it updated correctly.

does anyone know if you can add new screen locks, I quite like the S3s water effect screen unlock
Just got the 32mb for Christmas. I'm trying to load the amazon mobile UK app, but it won't let me, does anyone know where I can get the apk?
I don't think it lets you have the UK one. I'll give it a try...
I have it and I'm in the UK..

try that.
Thanks, but that's the app store. I wanted the mobile app. Looks like I have to side load it off my phone...
There is a method to back it up off your phone, extract the apk and plonk it on your nexus, but it's a faff. I might just use the website...
Right, I've had a week with mine, and I'm really happy with it. I like the speed and smoothness of everything for a start...
I used Airdroid to extract the APKs for apps that were 'incompatible' from my Sensation, then dropped them into Google Drive, and they installed fine. The only thing is, it's made me realise just how slow my Sensation is! Oh well, Nexus 4 it is when the contract ends...

One thing I do miss is the keyboard from my sensation, especially the long-press for other options/numbers facility. Anyone found a decent equivalent?
I use Swiftkey, but I don't know if it has the features you're after.
You used to be able to get the HTC keyboard apk fairly easily and load it onto other devices as it isn't tied to Sense. No sure if you still can, but I'd be surprised if you couldn't.

I also use swiftkey on both my tablet and my phone. I love he way the tablet version can switch between dual thumb pad and full keyboard with one button!
Costs a few quid but once you have put the time into getting to used to and training it, it really is a lot quicker than normal touchscreen typing.

I think I tried Swiftkey, but I just couldn't get on with it. I suppose the HTC keyboard was my first Smartphone keyboard, so that's what I expect future keyboards to do...
