Is anyone getting 503 errors from the work servers? Haven't been able to connect for a few days now.

in the smp console program. Gets to attempt 7 then sits for an hour then tries again. I had this on the other machine and it never sorted itself so I stopped that one. Fingers crossed this one isn't doing the same thing.

I will check it out on Monday when I have more time. If it's still doing the same thing I will stop folding for a while.

Well, I pushed my 8400GS to 720 core, 1800ish shader, 420 memory (the highest my OC program will go!) and my furmark went from 149 to 179, so a 20% increase. Will have to have a play some time and see what that does to the power consumption, actually I reckon that PC is being held back by the CPU - I was amazed that a 3GHz Celeron D could sit so far behind a 2GHz Athlon XP 2600+... (wprime 32 in 120s vs 90s for the Athlon ). I'll be "obtaining" a new Socket 478 CPU soon though

Nah I won't be using my 8400GS as it happens, it didn't like overclocking at all when I tried it before anyway, instant BSOD.

Re: #UPDATED# Folder of the month - September!!!!

Oooh, nasty. Mine's a Palit one, came with a program called... hmm, vtune, I think. The program actually runs a quick test for you after you choose new settings and tells you to sod off if it doesn't like them I reckon the memory would probably go faster if I could find some other tool to mess with it, but the increases on the core and shaders are nice Must replace that silly celeron with a decent P4 and see if I can't crack a little more performance out of it

I'm not sure - is there a CPU and GPU console? If so, which is giving you the errors? I'm still running Client 6.3 on my CPU, and the systray GPU clients, none of which have given me any problems. Mines been offline fro most of Friday but back online since then, and I've not noticed any errors or connection issues. Just my usual "slowdow" every ther day when running my GTX 295...

That GTX 295 is too efficient xD I've just been looking at the 24hr stats and you've put in a shed load of points.

Tried to get my GTX 260 running as well but a.) The fan was at 100% until i shut down and b.) it stopped my GTX 460 form working - had to re0install drivers again :S

Been getting them today on the smp client. A reboot of the client seemed to make them go aware (for now)

Re: #UPDATED# Folder of the month - September!!!!

We're up to 25 active users now - that's increased from 20 in September, and 18 in August! It's probably nothing to do with me publishing these stats, but since I started, the number of contributing users has increased by 25/18= 1.38888 = 39% increase!

Well done to everyone! We're catching up with other teams now, and not in freefall, which is tremendous, and for that I just wanted to say thanks, and very well done. Fold on everyone!

We're 149 stable, the 151 is on the folding @home stats site only. Seem to rank it differently. Anyway, the thing is we're set to overtake 4 teams and we're set to be overtaked by 4 teams in the next few months so I think that our position is fairly static atm.

Good job I dropped in here, I got stuck doing something last minute at work before I set off and completely forgot about kicking off my F@H client
