Looking at your stats we can find out why you're not on the list.

The list of Octobers folders was taken yesterday before you submitted your latest 2,245 point WU, before that; there was a long period of inactivity, hence you were defined as an inactive folder.

It'll be fixeed for next time... promise. It's just a matter of timing as to when I took the stats. Extreme Overclocking's site defines inactive as no units submitted during the current period - I guess month. The process I've proposed will address that, but I wont get time to re-extract the figures until the end of the month now.

And I'm still not sure if it is better to specify the number of cores for the SMP client, or just let it sort itself out.

    Code:
    ./fah6 -smp 2 &
    or

    Code:
    ./fah6 -smp &
just leave it to sort itself out. That method has worked for me as its picked up between 4 and 48 cores without hassle. Just make sure you use a passkey to get the points.

I just use -smp, recognises 3 cores.

    Nice one!

If I'm looking at this correctly, I should be in the top ten in 1.3 months. Annoyingly, I keep getting these awkward 1298 point GPU WUs which only give me about 2/3 of the PPD compared to the smaller GPU WUs

My sig has stopped updating correctly

Also, same here Englander. I've had two 3 hour GPU WU's in the same day

Woo, 10k points this weekend! Not bad for a 2.5GHz quad core. Must get Kali folding once I've put her under water - shame it'll cost about £2 in electric to run her for 24 hours

I have no idea what is going on with the points system but over the last 24 hours, I had all the servers running again and yet, I'm down to 100kppd according to hfm. Thats a reduction of 70kppd since the bigadv units stopped being given out.

Wow. That's a lot of points that "we've" dropped. This happened a while back, but I don't remember the outcome, whether it was physically due to a lack of data in that format or whether it was a server issue.

Ironically, while I'm over here in Italy, my server is still folding away (only 1 of 3 machines) and it seems to have picked up a bigadv unit or something that's given me 66k points, despite me only telling the machine to fold on 7 cores using SMP - 7 in the setup.

Could it be that I've nicked yours Still no chance of catching you now, short of a significant win on the lottery and those dream 980x's arriving...

Actually, I'd probably contact Scan and get their dream PC entry for this year if I came into that kind of money. I#d love to commission a phase change machine, maybe even using that evga SR2 mobo and some top of the range Xeons. Then we'd be seriously motoring...

Just out of interest, if one had like £50k to spend what would get most points? A massive server or just as many GTX 580s as you can get (which isn't many tbh)

With any luck you'll start to receive the new p6900 WUs, these are great point earners but I'm getting these from a different server than the one you're stuck on. Have you tried deleting the client, core and work then starting again from scratch?

    Dare i say both?

4P server (980X) with enough PCI-e lanes to shake a stick at.

    Rinse, repeat

*I don't know if such products exist BTW.*
