Aha I'm on the GPU2 client.
I know they say don't overclock (ignoring the fact my cards is factory overclcoked) but is it really that bad?
When i cranked my GPU core/shader up too see if it had any effect was dropping the estimated time by around 10minutes.

You set it up using the proper method
run a cmd prompt as admin
CD C:\users\[yourname]\FAH\
then type [the name of the client].exe (rename it to fah6)
answer all the questions and remember to add -SMP to the additional flags. There's aguide online but most of the questions are common sense and you should go for the recommended answer (apart from advanced options)
I added the -smp tag during additional parameters but it still seems to be doing nothing

pretty much. How many steps? They vary, I had one which too 48 hours but that was a particularly big one and I have a slower CPU than you.
Well, i went for 'normal' just while i got it working which is 500,000 - large was 6666667 :|
Seems massively in-efficient compared to the GPU client (to be expected i know, but still). It's around the same for PS3 client as well, i had it running on there before but that takes around 6 hours as well
