considering getting one myself, my wrists arent the strongest around, which is a real pita when working on a punchbag/pads, hoping something like this would help
We're only here for the Banter - The Luvvies - Chewin' The Fat

Violence and Lubrication is the solution to fixing everything, if it still doesn't work, you need more lubrication.

    Re: Bought me a powerball!

    Dareos,

it does help with that issue - I can vouch for it as my lower arms feel a lot better now since I've been using mine once a week or so for about 3-4 minutes each time.

Even my mate who is into weights, training etc in a big way was shocked on his first go at the forces it exerts on the muscles in the lower parts of the arms.

I might get another and try to use both at the same time, but if I get another blue neon one I'm sure the neighbours will be thinking I'm raving at home with the blue lights flashing everywhere

Did I leave the webcam on

Yeah, I'll admit I pull silly faces, but the thing doesn't half make your arms burn after a minute or two

I'll vouch for it being good for RSI, made my mouse arm tons better with regular powerball use.

    Re: Bought me a powerball!

I got one of these myself. It has been on my Amazon wishlist for years and my girlfriend bought me one for my birthday. Once I got it going it's fun and gets addictive trying to better your score (10500ish so far after a few goes) and it does seem like good exercise for the arm and shoulder. Definitely makes the muscles burn if you keep at it.

I find it a right fiddle getting it started though. I can't get the hang of a finger start at all. Sometimes I can get it fast enough on the carpet to get going. One of the strings the ends are breaking up and it actually cut my finger when the string jammed in the ball and the end slipped through my fingers. It didn't bleed much but that's not what I expected from a 'toy'. So be careful and don't use the string if the ends are starting to break up.

Has any one tried the new auto start ones? Are they easy to start? http://www.powerballs.com/shop/product_info.php?pid=43 Might get one instead as it's only £17 on amazon.

I tend to just start mine with my thumb, damned sight easier than using the string thing.
Mines a bluey NDS Powerball 250Hz gyroscope thing.
Max is 12129 so far, given I havent even switched it on in a year or more, suprised the battery still works
