Aim for about 500 less calories than the recommend daily amount for your bodyweight. They are lots of online guides and app that can help you calculate this number. But the basics is: BMR + Daily activity = Total Calories/day - 500 kcals.
This 500 calorie deficit can be easily achieve with a 60 mins gym session.

Walk during your lunch hour. And, then eat lunch at your desk.
Invest in an excercise bike. Watch a TV show while you are on your bike. You will lose weight effortlessly.

Yes.... well actually its more like 25KG / 4 stone since August last year
Eating 100% better then I was this time last year and gym 2 - 4 times a week

Eat an apple 30 mins before meals. This will result in eating less during the meal. x7 days. You will see weight loss happen.

snack: fruit/nuts
1 meal in evening. Not a heavy one.
Mostly stick to water.
