Indedd, esp when u consider I wasnt actually aiming to lose any weight
Google should show the SA diet, pretty easy to follow.
Hey friends!!!Different ways for reduce the weight so different people like the different tips for the weight loss.According to me that exercise and diet is the
best solution for the weight loss of the body.So i like these tips for the weight
loss because it is very simple and easier solution.
Cut the cereals- full of sugar and calories; switch to oatmeal --> they taste FANTASTIC and they make you feel full, so you won't have to eat that many at lunch. (mark my words on this I've had personal experience with this. I used to eat two slices of bread with peanut butter and jam (terrible choice I know) combined with milk in the morning, feel super hungry at 12. When I switch to oatmeal, I feel sustained pretty much until 1 in the afternoon. By the way, I have breakfast at 6:30AM.)
Cut the biscuits, cut the fruit tarts - processed food, loaded with refined sugar and flour. You are much better off with an apple or banana (worry about calories? man, fruits and veggies contain NATURAL nutrients your body needs; these sugars are complex carbs - you are way off better sticking with these)
CUT THE KFC AND BURGERS - loaded with fatty meat and refined flour --> put on the extra weight.
Last word of advice, don't eat fried food if you can help it. They just add on pounds. Baked if you can, although I don't suggest that either since it still contains many calories. If you are eating salad, don't use the dressings, full of fats.
Since you didn't mention whether you drink sodas and other soft drinks or not, I will just say this as a reminder that if you want to lose weight, all you need to be drinking is water. Unless you are making your whole juice using a juicer, then I'm not even suggesting to buy a juice they sell at supermarket - even though it says on the label it's a 100%, it's still concentrate and they are still adding sugar in it.
That's pretty much my advice. It will be hard at first to resist the temptation but if you've got the determination then you can do it! Good luck!
I never found oat based breakfasts to work for that long - a couple of hours at best. Maybe I just needed to eat more.
Fruits and veg contain glucose, fructose and sucrose in various quantities. These are exactly the same simple sugars as are in processed foods, or refined sugar (which is pure sucrose). The advantage from eating fruit and veg is that you get plenty of fibre with the sugar, which is definitely a good thing.
Complex carbs are starches as found in bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, etc.
Tea, coffee, or water if you want to lose weight. Tea and coffee should be without added sugar. Juice is full of sugar - orange juice has almost as much sugar as coke. Also if juice says not from concentrate, then it isn't, and generally they have no added sugar (in the UK at least). They don't really need to add sugar, there's loads already there.
I eat a bowl usually, with milk. But since the OP is lactose-tolerant then I guess water works too. Oatmeal does sustain you for a long time. Now, I don't know if water/milk is an issue here. Maybe just the amount.I never found oat based breakfasts to work for that long - a couple of hours at best. Maybe I just needed to eat more.
Fruits and veggies contain fructose, not really glucose. The whole point is that they are natural and their health. Processed foods contain either artificial or refined, processed sugar. Not that much healthy.Fruits and veg contain glucose, fructose and sucrose in various quantities. Agree with the fiber statement. Also, fruits are best consumed in the morning, at least that was what my health teacher back in the school days said.

uhm, if I want orange juice I will make it myself. I don't really trust the things they sell at supermarkets these days...
Water is the best. Tea and coffee, well, without sugar I guess it's fine. I still suggest sticking with water though.
With me, i have lost over 2 stone by cutting down on food portions, no alcohol in the week, no eating after 6:30pm.
They contain both, in varying amounts.
There's a table with some fruits here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fructose#Food_sources
There's a lot of variance though - apples and pairs have twice as much fructose as glucose, whereas plums have almost 1.5 more glucose than fructose. No fruit is massively sugar dense in it's natural form though, so they're good in that respect.
Don't think time of day makes much difference. Your body is very adaptable to different meal times and different foods at different times of day. As long as you eat the right foods in the right amount you can eat whenever you want.
Tea and coffee without sugar are basically water with a splash of milk. Milk is also fine, though whole milk is quite fatty, assuming you're not lactose intolerant of course.
Tea and coffee are not necessary healthy though, on the side note.
Caffeine is bad for you, it's considered a stimulant which is a category of psychoactive drug.
Although, they do have their benefits...
Fruits contain sugars, like you said, consuming sugar late at night is not really a good idea if you want to lose weight.
Also, I think it has something to do with the acidity in fruits and your stomach. I'm not entirely sure though. I generally try not to eat late at night, not only because of the sugar, but because I will feel too full and it gives me stomachache.
Caffeine, and coffee in particular may have protective effects against some cancers and Alzheimer's disease though. I think it's overstating things to say they're bad for you. There are far bigger things to worry about than dying from drinking tea or coffee. In fact there's an argument that you should rink a few cups per day of coffee for the health benefits conferred.
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_effects_of_caffeine
There's a lot of stuff there, but it's worth noting that caffeine increases metabolic rate which will help with weight loss (though I expect the effect on weight loss is pretty minor).
you can get pitted dates in most supermarkets at about £1.20 for 500g. These vaguely taste like a sugary snack and may suffice to allow you to snack on them rather than pastries and choc.
The P90X is being talked about by a lot pf people as a successful excercise regime. Have a look at it.
I have also discovered that by having Fat-free yogurt twice a day in moderate amounts will reduce weight/fat as apparently yogurt stops the intestines from absorbing fat.
Google says something along those lines....
Ah, must be right then.
It does seem that there is some research correlating increased calcium intact with decreased fat absorption, perhaps that's the science bit behind the headline. Though there's also some research showing no correlation.
