Yeah track racing can be a little boring IMO, just played the demo again but in the R2 class Zonda, **** me that car kicks about at the start, great fun to drive though. I really want a wheel and this game now.
I tried out the Ferrari, it was quite easy to use, by as Madduck said, it did seem quite slow, especially in comparison to the Zonda. It was hard to drive, but damn it wasn't half fast. At the start line I piled on the power as I was used to driving a C class car for doing the time trials on the other thread and I just ended up spinning around on the start line XD Takes a little while to get used to, but once you do those hard to drive cars are fantastic, very unforgiving, but really fast round the track.
Make sure you get the wheel from Argos its only £79.99 there.. £10 cheaper than anywhere else I could actually walk into and buy it there and then.
Don't know if it includes PGR3 though, if it does I've probably saved another £10 by selling that on the 'bay.
Yeah that seems about the cheapest price, online retailers are selling it for that much too, thanks for the heads up, I'll check that out.
It seems really expensive, but when you think about it, it's only the cost of two games, and it sounds like it'll be really great for forza.
The wheel is £79.99 at PC World too, you can reserve online and collect it from your local store.
Tom, the wheel does come with PGR3 included mate. It doesn't have the proper case however, it just comes in a sleeve.
If you like racing games, the wheel is a must in my opinion. Racing games are my favourite genre so the purchase was a bit of a no brainer for me. One thing I would say is that it's definately beneficial to have a good place to use the wheel. It's ok on your lap but much better mounted to a table/desk so that's worth considering too.
that main thing putting me off getting the wheel is that iv got a DFP, and im still hoping that someday it will play nice with the 360. whether it be ms patching it in or something thats put in between the wheel and the 360 i dunno.. too good a wheel to use something else.

It's not entirely wireless. There is no cable from the 360 to the wheel, that bit is wireless. But there is a cable from the wheel to the pedals and if you want full force feedback you need to plug the wheel into a wall socket using the AC adapter. You can use it without plugging it in but on battery power you just get rumble as opposed to the full force feedback.
If you plug it in the mains do you have to worry about changing the batteries, or does the mains power the entire wheel so long as it's plugged in?
You also have a cable from the wheel to the pedals, but thats not a problem unless you have stupidly long legs.
