My brothers PS3 died 3 days ago as well, I wonder if that had anything to do with Forza?

there was the update that had sky in it and stuff, im going to blame that rather than forza i think

well it cold booted ok just now, but froze before getting past the spinning thing, rrod after restarting so its gone

Have to say, I'm thoroughly enjoying this game at the moment - just wish I had more time to play it!

It's everything I was hoping for, and a little bit more. So much fun to drive, and very addictive. Keep finding myself checking the leaderboards after each hot lap - seeing if I'm anywhere close to Madduck standards.

Fortunately, a lot of the supposed-downsides are advantages for me. I like that Turn10 has toned down the game slightly, and though I thought I'd never use it, the rewind feature is just a Godsend. With limited time in which to play, I love being able to correct little faults and move on. My hardcore gaming days are long gone, but I still enjoy a good challenge and Forza 3 fits the bill just about perfectly.

I also love the Quick Upgrade option, but I wish they'd implemented some sort of Quick Tune functionality, too. Tuning, for me, takes too long and requires too much testing. It would be ace if the game were able to tune my car based on my driving style.

One complaint, however, would be that I don't always recognise the on-screen symbols, and what they mean. A few tool tips would be useful.

For example, when doing hot laps, every once in a while I'll get the exclamation mark that nullifies my lap - but I have no idea what's causing it! I'm not going off or hitting anything, think it has something to do with my gear changes - but it's hard to keep track when you're whizzing around at silly speeds.

Excellent game for me, probably a 9/10.


...all that said, Madduck, I think it's such a shame this game isn't what you were hoping for! Given the time you put into Forza 2, and your general l33t driving skills, I think it's fair to say you deserved to enjoy Forza 3 more than the rest of us. Bloody gutting to see that your console has also died! Hope Forza 3 grows on you as I can tell how much you enjoy your racing.

...all that said, Madduck, I think it's such a shame this game isn't what you were hoping for! Given the time you put into Forza 2, and your general l33t driving skills, I think it's fair to say you deserved to enjoy Forza 3 more than the rest of us. I've never really been into driving games but picked this up. What a superb game. Really enjoying it so far although it gets quite hard when you crack the difficulty up (or maybe I'm just a noob )

Should of bought Forza 2 and saved £30 xD FM3 is basically an easier FM2 with a cockpit view added. Still enjoying it but it's easily a racer you can put down and forget about and come back to it down the line. I should pickup FM2 myself and work through it, it's on the shelf but I played 90% of FM2 on friends consoles instead of my own.

the ex-xbox is boxed and will be collected tomorrow, i think iv decided against getting another one before its back as i need some stuff for the LAN, and who knows they may even have sorted this mess out by the time it gets back
