The issue isn't the content, its if the game is interesting enough to keep your around long enough to collect all the cars.

Also, does anyone know if more dealerships or cars appear as you level up as there definitely isn't 1000 cars cycling through the dealerships, I'd be surprised if there was more than 300 which are currently showing up at the minute.

agree can only see about 300 cars


@JOSH were you getting those screenshots from cos that looks awful and on my 40" full hd tv it looks ten times better than that.

What are the loading times like on the game? (one of my pet hates).

While i can't comment on every menu/loading screen, Digitalfoundry said that by installing your load times decrease by around 50%, the worst case scenario being 80 seconds if you don't install.

Even once installed there is a lot of disk seeking and installing while you play the game anyway.

I have no idea, what's taking up all the space since I don't have that much installed. May need to upgrade my HDD for this.

No. Decent driving game however, quite possibly.

The option install is around 6.5GB IIRC, so either someone is lying or 10GB is once everything is installed.
You would probably benefit from getting a bigger/newer-faster HDD anyway. The game decides to have a 1 minute boot-up 'freeze' for some reason. I get too the home screen and have to wait about a minute before the mouse appears -_-

That means i have to fork out for a bigger HDD too. I have only 5GB :S Glad i found that out before i bought it. Was so close to getting it for £30. maybe i wait abit.

This is a good game.

But, it's not a great one. Too much of GT5 relies on past glories, building on the success of the series without shaking free of the design quirks that are holding the series back. High expectations are justified when a game has been in development so long and GT5 has more than a faint whiff of disappointment about it.

Sony fans might want to hide behind the sofa for the following line:
"Overall - and we NEVER thought we'd say this - we reckon Forza III has the march on GT5 in overall aesthetics."

Load game up> freezes > pointer eventually appears after a new record of 2 minutes > click Gt Life > another 2 minute freeze.

Rinse repeat every time i come out of or go into a menu.

Sadly, physics is currently tied to the difficulty of the race. Later races have more realistic physics and damage models.

Thats because the game is continuesly sending and receiving data via http or socket connection on the same Thread. i can actually visualize how they coded it and a recent graduate seems to have coded that part of the game!!!

TBH, i was jsut wondering this. I blasted round the 'ring in my Lupo in around 8 minutes or so (literally, turn in accelerate, laugh at the endless amount of grip).

I tried doing the Mercedes 'ring challenge before (in the Gullwing) and it was a lot more realistic (sliding, braking) and my time was also around 8 minutes.

Saying that, I've not noticed the physics option in the menu either like on Prologue.

But it was fine yesterday and earlier today. It's getting longer each time i turn the game on If that is the issue, its embarrassing, how much worse is it going to get
