AMD - Bulldozer Chitchat

I told my friend (who is a biig Apple fan. He has a £2.5k, i7 MacBook pro. Oh yeah, he's 15) that I was looking at getting Bulldozer and Radeon 7000, depending on the benchmarks. He instantly rebutts that AMD are rubbish compared to Intel and NVIDIA. I said "But it's a completely new archetecture!" and he said that that's what they always say.

There is no point to that story, it just made me angry and I felt to share it

Apple have ditched Nvidia across all their range and use AMD graphics cards even in their MacBook Pro and Mac Pro ranges. I assume that until Apple starts using Nvidia graphics cards in their laptops again he will RAGE-BOYCOTT(tm) Apple laptops??

It's not really a delay as AMD have never officially announced a release date.

well no its not an delay based on official announcements but there must be something going on which is delaying it from being released.... all the leaked info cant be false!

Recent rumblings were that Llano yields were lower then expected and that has held up BD production...although there was supposedly no such yield issues with the BD silicon.

With the release of more info and the change in release date do you think its still worth waiting for these over getting a SB pc now?

More importantly, at least we'll have some Bulldozer figures to go off.

These 'leaks' could be from the competition/fanboys to make AMD look incompetent. Like lots of the benchmarks of the early silicon claiming to have full performance.
