Some details about Trinity:

"The current quad-core Llano offerings are clocked at 2.6GHz (A6-3650) and 2.9GHz (A8-3850), while this Trinity part is clocked slower, it's numbers are nice compared to my A8-3850 Linux system."

Here are some pictures of a retail CPU and retail packaging:

It seems to come with an air cooler as standard. It seems the CPU also comes with a piece of paper telling owners that they need the latest motherboard BIOS before installing drivers.
So, will I for example be able to boot up a BD in a AM3+ mobo, the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 even if it has an old BIOS just so that I can update it?
Several websites have information, including AMDs own blog which states AM3+ motherboards with an older bios need to have an AM3 CPU installed to flash the bios before being able to install and have the system post with BD.
think you just answered your own question as well as any of us can If you are thinking of buying it all in one go then leave the platform to mature a little bit and for old stock to pass through the stores, it wont be long before the motherboards are released with the bios that immediately works with AM3+ CPUs. Worst case scenario is you have to pick up a cheap AM3 CPU from ebay, by that time they will be dirt cheap.
Do you think there will be two editions of the 8150 then? The water-cooled and air cooled variants? Or do you think they're just realeasing a whole load of different information to confuse the competition?
I would be surprised if they released every one with a AIO watercooler, very surprised indeed. I know AMD are once again trying to undercut intel but undercutting them AND throwing in a £40-50 cooler, bit of a jump from the basic POS coolermasters they throw in at the moment.
Hard to say how much these chips actually cost AMD to make, and how much the development has cost them but at around £200 for the high end model i would guess that they are not going to make too much on the first batch, especially given global foundries (it is them and not TSMC right?) always seems to have yield issues.
I could be proven wrong though, it would be amazing if i was. We just wont know for a couple more days.
I wish they would go back to the cooler of the 6000+
It much muuuchhh quieter, the new ones seem to just get really really loud. also they have stopped twisting the fan cable

There seems to be this live stream of the desktop:

It says Phenom II X4 810 in the corner for some reason!!
Edit!!
It also seems the RAM is running in single channel too!!
The PII is the guy who's casting the BDZ to us, i think.
