Not the only one, one of these with 2 580s 3gbs and I might be able to play rage on full lol.I ain't waiting for benchies.....I'm waiting to order one!!!

CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
And do you honestly think it is? or even could be?
And exactly WHAT is it slower at doing then a 1100T?
I think there are going to be a few raised eyebrows tomorrow and then some "knock me down with a feather" comments once the new driver is available.
Hell, didn't the very original x2 (s939) from AMD also need a driver update?

Near enough every new major chip release in existence has required bios updates and/or patches to reach its full potential. There is many cases in the past were chips haven't functioned in motherboards at all before a bios is released... its as common as muck! Factor in the fact that bulldozer is an architecture totally different to anything which has been used before and the importance of any software and firmware upgrades to be included BEFORE benchmark results can be classed as accurate become much more relevant.
I'm not saying there IS going to be some uber patch/bios release which will change the entire playing field, im just saying its a possibility that shouldn't be ruled out until we have hard evidence.
I actually don't know, my expectations however would be that it should be faster. I'm concerned that if this newer driver is available tomorrow why was it left so late. But the point i was trying to get across is I don't understand why anyone would be in the mindset of "I just want to buy one" when suggestions so far have been they're not that great.
Believe me, I want, arguably need, BDZ to be good as i parmed off my P55 set-up for the stuff on the left with a view to move to BDZ when it released.
On the 939 front I don't know. I wasn't all up in the tech game back then.
But waiting for tomorrow for figures is pointless then unless some outlets are staying up for the crunch to get out their 'updated BIOS version' reviews out as the figures they will be working with will be with the poorer BIOS.
O/T: Plural for BIOS?

For AMD to release it (even though up until week ago they had given no release date) and for them to cut down on the Llano APU production to actually get them out in the wild, even though arguably Llano would make them more money by selling considerably higher volumes, tells me that they have faith in the product....and therefore it is going to be faster then their current line-up.
I think we are currently seeing some clever AMD marketing.....do not underestimate the power of expectation management

Im in the same boat pretty much, i have moved on from 775 finally and took a gamble with AM3+ as i would rather go for a platform that has a chance of upgradability in the future rather than Intel with their obsessive socket switching.
I did have a 939 but i dont recall any patch, was probably before i jumped from the old Athlon XP
Any sensible review site should do just that, or at worst they will have been given the information that there is an important patch coming and make the readers aware of this information. Whether its wait for tomorrow or wait for next week, hell even wait for a few months for genuine performance results, its definitely not pointless to at least wait until tomorrow when the NDA is lifted and we know the true story of whats to come.
Plural of BIOS... BIOSes? it would be Basic In Out Systems so...
It's the manufacturers that would be possessive, not the BIOSes! Now if you were talking about a function belonging to the BIOS it would be correct, ie "go look in the BIOS's CPU menu". Then to make that plural it would be "go look in the BIOSes' CPU menus" (and a bit of a mouthful!).
It's techno speak.....we make the rules, the rest follow

I think going in with low expectations may be a good thing - there's less to be disappointed about, more to be happy about. If it is rather "meh", it makes my life so much simpler; I'll just get an i5-2500k.
Only took me 5 hours to read this thread... although I'm happy I did it with the interesting discussions throughout. Downloaded y-cruncher to do some testing with and updated a few others I use.
I eagerly await the reviews of Bulldozer, I'm looking to upgrade next month so I hope it has a winning start.
