So, Kaveri + GDDR5 is definitely on! I suspect desktop solutions and mainstream laptops will stick with DDR3 DIMMs/SODIMMs, but ultraportables (and tablets? Can kaveri get down to low enough TDPs?) may well use soldered-on GDDR5 to take advantage of the higher bandwidth. So GT3e will be combated - in the same market space, presumably (i.e. higher-end ultraportables) - by Kaveri with GDDR5. Game on!... As an interesting side note, AMD then added that "people will be able to build APUs with either type of memory [DDR or GDDR] ...

I'd really like to love Aria as a store, but they so often don't have what I need.
That said, I just foolishly looked at their open box offers. They've got an 890GX MATX motherboard with 2 PCIe x16 slots.... I could buy a second 7750 and go CROSSFIRE!!!!

They was offering an MSI FM2 ITX board the other day to "loyal members" for £45. Wish i had use for one

Sadly I really need a new monitor before I consider any more upgrades. Just love the ideal of having a ridiculous crossfire set up in an MATX low profile caseAnd it's only £42. And I need a new matx motherboard for my home server....

actually, it'll be a while before I upgrade my laptop because the old TZ3810 is still going strong. Doubt I'll get a new laptop until that one gives up the ghost.
