    Supposed,Steamroller die picture:

    http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost...&postcount=196

    Edit!!

It could be possibly that Excavator was brought forward and Kaveri2.0 uses that core??

    Analysis of the changes:

    http://semiaccurate.com/forums/showp...&postcount=932

    Second Edit!!

    A10 6800K is benchmarked:

    http://wccftech.com/amd-a10-6800k-ri...ance-unveiled/

    Thwe A10 5800K gets around 3.3 in CB11.5 and around 1300 to 1400 in 3DMark11 with 1600MHZ DDR3. The A10 6800K is using 2400MHZ DDR3 though,so the GPU performance increase does not look massive:

    http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...ty,3419-3.html

I suspect, most of the improvements will be seen at lower TDPs.

    Third Edit!!

    Good news if true:

I see they've avoided adding any scale besides the year, but it'll be good if Kaveri can make it out end of Q3 or so, as that seems to imply!

    Jaguar based Opteron:

    http://semiaccurate.com/2013/05/28/k...eron-x-series/

More mention there of configurable TDP, I still think they should enable that in consumer systems as an easy alternative to underclocking.

If the A10 6800K is £120 here, going from the price in Euros,it will be DOA.

Kaveri will be FM2+ it seems:

    http://wccftech.com/amd-kaveri-apus-...#ixzz2UnKzYe5i

The CPUs are meant to have 6 to 12 CU IGPs??

That would be greater than HD7770 level performance!!

Interesting. HTPC near full power gaming?

Regardless of whether people actually need faster PCIe, it is low hanging fruit for AMD and a tickbox that some potential customers will need filled.

    Re: AMD - Piledriver chitchat

BD was a fail no doubt!!

However,Andrew Feldman, was CEO of SeaMicro and considering that they use low power CPUs,and AMD is now focussed towards using low power X86 and future ARM CPUs,of course they are going to make sure that they big that up,but at the same time appropriating any blame for failings towards the previous management,ie, why the company was not working earlier on them before. You can see AMD is focussing more and more on low power cores now, which are small and easily portable between process nodes, and that will be the future of the company. You can see that with Jaguar which is made at both TSMC and GF.

Paul Otellini, was rumoured to have left Intel for them not moving quicker towards the low power market.

    Edit!!

    Some more details about Kaveri:

    http://translate.google.com/translat...rava-ny-sockel

Devil May Cry was demoed on it.

    Second Edit!!

It seems AMD Centurion,is the FX9000 CPU:

    http://translate.google.com/translat...pp-till-50-ghz

4.8GHZ stock clockspeed and 5GHZ Turbo clockspeed but with a TDP of 220W!!!

    Third Edit!!

FM2 motherboards will work with Kaveri it seems:
