Rather good game that, just lost 4 hours to it. Really like the use of additional kits, just have to remember where the commnder can give them out.

pull the open beta and try the igi/tactics and teamwork/gotland/tactical gamer open beta servers. .607rc1 is far better than .5

Yeah, get the current open beta (not sure how long it will be beta though, full release is only a couple of weeks away or so) 0.607RC1 and get on the iGi server.

Just downloaded the mod using the torrent link - 1.6GB in just over an hour on an 8 meg connection don't know how that's possible but it's hopefully a sign.

Will give it ago over the weekend - thanks for the link!

Just remember to take it easy - it's very easy to die, so move slowly, keep in cover, and listen to your squad lead.

I would like to start playing BF2 and was going to buy it asap.

Please can you confirm for online gaming is it worth buying 'Battlefield 2: The Complete Edition', or can I just buy the original game and then download all the required maps etc ?

What version do you need for Project Reality ?

    Thank you in advance

Not sure Rev, but don't buy it, it sucks your life away.

A "few minutes" playing BF2 is actually 3 hours in real world time and your SO will start to call you names behind your back

if you the buy the complete edition, it includes the expansion and booster packs, i dont really think theres many servers left that play these any more, although you get extra unlocks with special forces expansion pack.

Project reality is a free mod which costs you nothing to dl, all you need is a copy of bf2

To be honest, once you get into PR, vanilla BF2 seems just... well.. vanilla.

I have BF2 and special forces and I have not played either since installing PR 0.5, 0.607 is a big improvement over 0.5 so I suppose the chances of me ever playing vanilla again are vanishingly small, I just don't think I could handle the flag hopping and deliberate team killing every time you get a plane.
