Anyone play Project Reality for BF2? :)

I guess this as good a place as any to ask what sort of headset (if any) I should be using?

Typically I had just got the .506 files to start playing and then find its the beta's I should have grabbed from the start. Seem to be getting very poor speeds from that torrent as well.

0.6 will be out shortly anyway, so you'll be getting stung for another 1.6 gig soon too.

It'll be worth it though.

In the middle of patching bf2 to 1.41 (have been playing 2142) and I had forgotten how long it takes to patch.

Is there a date for .6? Really hope its not going to come out tomorrow or something after going through this to get the beta

a message on realitymod.com says (posted july 9th), that if final testing all goes ok will be a full release in the next ten days

beta plays fine in my experience, only recurring problem im having is the connection problems from my **** wireless

Spent a few hours on the iGi server last night up until 8:30pm ish.

Got in a squad with an American who loved the sound of his own voice which really spoilt it for me. It's a great game but I had to stop myself from TKing that guy so many times.

No one got any headset advice for me then?

If a squadmate's really that bad, just change squads or set your own up.

Re. headsets, anything will do the job. I've only got a basic headset at the moment but so long as it's pointing at your cake hole and you've got mic boost turned on in the sound properties you should be fine once you've completed the wizard in BF2.

Played briefly last night when I got it all installed, found I was lagging at times. Would turn around or look around and it would freeze for a sec. Will be on late tonight to give it a better go. Looks very promising as long as you have a proper squad running.
