At the moment most of the servers will be empty since it's during the day!You tend to get a more mature gamer playing PR, since its gameplay is much more slow paced - not to say when the tracer starts flying it doesn't go ape though!
Also, since the mod is currently about to change over to 0.6, no-one is playing on the 0.5 servers - everyone is playing on the beta servers at the moment, and there is far fewer of these around.
couple of questions...
can you actually see the flags at all like in BF2? or are they just rooms or somethin? i cant work it out but ive been there a couple times and got no points for capture assist. also if it takes two to claim a flag does the first person in get the extra capture points?
and finally... im going to need a headset to play this, any recommendations, want one with decent sound quality

Sometimes you can see the flag, often its just sticking out of the ground. i don't look fopr the flag i just look under the mini map at the capture bar. One thing to bear in mind is that even with 5 or 6 cap assisters it can take more than a minute to neutralise a flag. So you will have to dig in and ride those enemy assaults in order to cap it.

Took me a while to spot the cap indicator under the minimap, gives an idea how long to go. Have had some great battles trying to cap falgs. Have to say PR is my favourite game at the moment.

Excellent game, much easier to play than BF2 and far less "kids".
Ben, it took me ages to spot the flags too, some are just poking out of the ground which makes calling for kit a little tricky when you don't know where the %$£& flag is!
Wasted a few hours playing this, I'm now hooked.
As said just look for the cap bar appearing under the minimap. Far easier than manually searching the flags out.

I was playing 0.5 on the only server available Friday night.
0.5? Argh! No-one plays that these days.
There's an open beta of 0.6 out at the moment though it will be going live probably shortly. iGi run an open beta public server so you can pop on - you don't have to be a clan member.
If you think 0.5 is good, you'll cream your pants on 0.6 - it's 100 time better. The view distance is now absolutely huge, well over 1km, meaning engagements go out a whole lot longer. Tanks and APCs get vastly improved optics, meaning they're absolutely deadly to infantry out in the open.
Not to mention the civilian class and the Insurgency mode added to Basrah.. man, you're gonna love it!

i keep getting crashes to desktop. hasnt happened before but is now, about halfway to loading Bi Ming. any ideas/solutions?
You can't join a server that's running Bi Ming, otherwise it CTD's.
This is a known issue and is being worked on. If you're already on the server when it switches to BM you're OK, but if you try to join a battle in progress, CTD.

well. its now 11am, i've got a day off work, but all the servers are empty grrrrr
was playing on tactical gamer til 4am but i did find it rather full of aggresive yanks. iGi seemed good but didnt have the mic running when i was on there, which is kinda neccesary. When it all transfers to 0.6 there should be more players about as theres still more on 0.5

You'll find the servers empty during the day, since in the main PR is played by mature gamers - i.e, they have a 9-5 job.
iGi does run VOIP on the beta server. I was using it last night as well as TS.
Tatical Gamer is full of aggressive Yanks - makes you appreciate the good UK servers like iGi all the more
